(AN: I own nothing and read last chapter)
"Wow that was a great nap!" Luffy said as he stood up and stretched, breaking the barrel and knocking out someone without meaning to.
"Oh hey. Know where there's anything to eat around here?" Luffy asked with a smile as he looked at a small timid looking pink haired boy.
"Don't act so casual punk! We're Alvida Pirates an-" Luffy backhanded the guy he sensed was swinging a sword at him, knocking the guy clear through every wall between him and the sea outside. Thankfully since they were on an upper level of the ship, it wasn't taking on water.
The other two quickly beat it while the pink haired boy looked pale and trembling.
"So do you know where there's any meat around here?" Luffy asked the boy again as he took the floaties off of his arms and put them back into his treasure chest with care.
"S-Sure. There's a storeroom nearby." The boy said and then led Luffy to the storeroom while he carried his treasure chest under one arm.
"So how'd you end up joining a pirate crew? You don't seem like a pirate." Luffy said tilting his head curiously at the boy, who introduced himself as Coby, as they sat in the storeroom with Luffy eating any and all of the meat while Coby settled for an apple.
"I was going out fishing one day and mistook their boat for a fishing one." Coby said making Luffy snicker. How the hell had the boy done that? Didn't he see the jolly roger of the pirate ship or anything?
"Why didn't you just leave then? Take one of the boats and sail away?" Luffy asked and Coby shook his head rapidly in the negative.
"I could never do that! The captain, Alvida, would kill me in a heartbeat. She's a feared pirate and has a bounty of 5,000,000!" Coby said and Luffy merely tilted his head at the smaller boy.
"That low? Must not be very strong then. How about I beat her up for you?" Luffy asked making Coby gape for a moment.
"Low?!" Coby near screeched and Luffy looked at him confused.
"Yeah low. Most of my aunts and uncles and parents have bounty posters in the hundred thousands. One of my papas has a bounty in the billion range and another has it as at least 4 billion last I checked." Luffy said unbothered and wondering when he'd get his first bounty and how high it would be. He wanted to make his family proud after all.
"Besides. I'm going to be the King of Pirates, I can't let some weakling like this Alvida person get in the way." Luffy said as if it were obvious. This promptly made Coby freak out until Luffy hit him.
"Jeez. A coward and a wimp? My family eats guys like you for a snack." Luffy said with a small snort once he knocked Coby back to his senses.
"Besides if I die fighting for my dream then I die fighting for my dream. There's not much of a better way to go and if I don't make it to the finish line then it just means I wasn't meant to be the next Pirate King. I at least tried my best and fought for my dream." Luffy said and something within Coby seemed to change at that as he thought about it.
"Fight for your dream huh? Luffy? Do you think I can do it?" Coby asked making Luffy hum curiously from around another piece of meat.
"Follow my dream. I want to be a Marine. A strong marine who catches the bad pirates like Alvida and brings them to justice and keeps people safe, especially kids." Coby said and Luffy tilted his head.
"I don't see why not. You have to be ready to fight and die for your dream though, because if you try to half ass it then you're disrespecting everyone else fighting for that dream too." Luffy said making Coby nod his head determined.
"Alright I've decided! I'm going to become a strong Marine one day and arrest evil pirates! Starting with Alvida-"
CRASH!
"Starting with who?" A large whale like person wearing a hat and some clothes asked after she had crashed her iron club through the storeroom ceiling.
"Al-Alvida!" Coby was once more a scared stuttering mess as he stared fearfully at the pirate captain that was keeping him hostage as her cabin boy.
"Oi Coby? Who's the human looking whale?" Luffy asked completely innocent and curious, wondering if it was a new species that didn't live in Tottoland or a devil fruit.
All sound stopped for a moment before Alvida roared with rage while Luffy grabbed his treasure chest and Coby and jumped up through the hole in the ceiling to the top deck.
"Luffy that's Iron Mace Alvida! She'll-"
"Luffy huh? So you're not Pirate Hunter Rorona Zoro after my head then. Peh. Just a snot nosed brat in over his head." Alvida said despite the tick marks of anger on her face as she jumped up after them.
"Coby! Who's the most beautiful woman in the sea?!" Alvida demanded of the scared pink haired boy while Luffy snorted.
"Definitely not you. I've got an army of aunts, a sister, and four moms who've got you beat hands down in both looks and power. Don't even drag Baa-chan into this because she's lost weight recently and is strong enough to end your whole crew without lifting a finger." Luffy said waving the woman off as delusional while the Alvida pirates were gaping at him in horror and disbelief.
"Coby!" Alvida yelled at the pink haired boy again who stuttered and trembled.
"It-i-it's…" Coby glanced at Luffy and seemed to steel himself as something in him changed again. A fire awakened.
"NOT YOU BECAUSE YOU'RE A FAT UGLY WHALE WHO'D KILL A SEA KING WITH HER BODY ODOR!"
It was dead silent for a long moment before Luffy began laughing his ass off.
