To my relief, morning came quickly. I hadn't been able to go back to sleep last night, everything that has been happening lately had kept me awake, and now I had something new to think about; Elias, his anger. Was it something I needed to be worried about? Was it something personal? Or was it just everything getting to him?
I got out of bed slowly, tiredly; every movement was weighted. I was completely exhausted but I couldn't sleep, I was being haunted and it was almost funny really. I moved to the bathroom, showered quickly and got dressed.
A knock came on the door just as I was preparing to head to my office. The sound was hesitant, I knew it was Elias from that alone.
"Come in," I said, my voice flat.
Thomas stepped inside looking very unsettled, and for a moment I thought the ghost had attacked again. My heart fell to the pit of my stomach and my breath faltered till he handed me a piece of paper and spoke.
