"Phew, finally found it."
At three o'clock in the afternoon, Lin Feng landed above the sea and gazed at the island before him, unable to stop a wave of emotion from rising in his chest.
Mewtwo, Salamence, and Dragonite had all been held in Team Rocket's research facilities before, so naturally, they knew where the original laboratory had been located.
However, when they flew back to investigate, the former facility had already been emptied out.
Not only had all the equipment been removed, but even the smallest traces of Pokémon research data had vanished without a trace.
It seemed that once the location of a research facility was exposed, Team Rocket immediately relocated everything as a precaution.
That was only natural.
For an organization of their size, caution was simply common sense.
Still, considering how quickly the previous facility had been abandoned, Lin Feng guessed that if they rebuilt, they would likely choose a location somewhere nearby.
Fortunately, he had spent extra time training Salamence and had used his Aura powers to search the surrounding seas directly.
In truth, finding it was not particularly difficult.
Most areas of the ocean had significant depth, and it was highly unlikely that a research facility would be built thousands of meters beneath the sea floor.
This wasn't some underwater temple.
The facility was far more likely to be hidden on or beneath an island.
Following that line of reasoning...
After roughly two or three hours of searching, he found it.
"Alright, Salamence. Head back for now. We can't rush this. We need to locate as many research facilities as possible before destroying them all in one strike."
Lin Feng patted Salamence's neck.
Salamence obediently nodded.
After Salamence returned to its Poké Ball, Lin Feng did not immediately descend.
Using Aura, he could sense that the entire island was covered by a dense surveillance network. If he carelessly entered now, the people below would be alerted instantly.
Going down directly was not an option.
Fortunately...
I have Teleport.
Although Lin Feng could sense powerful psychic fluctuations below, they came from only two sources.
Both belonged to Psychic-type Pokémon around Elite level strength.
For Mewtwo and Gardevoir, opponents like that were hardly worth mentioning.
Lin Feng immediately released Gardevoir into the air.
Since there were two Psychic-type Pokémon guarding the facility, bringing both Gardevoir and Mewtwo would ensure that no unexpected disturbances occurred.
"You two. Deal with them first, then come get me."
The moment he gave the order, Mewtwo and Gardevoir vanished from sight.
Watching them disappear instantly, Lin Feng could not help feeling a little envious.
Although he possessed psychic abilities himself, his control over them was nowhere near the level of Gardevoir or Mewtwo.
Most importantly...
He still couldn't use Teleport.
"Sigh. I really need to go back and learn how to use Teleport properly."
Floating high above the island, Lin Feng could only let out a helpless sigh.

The two Psychic-type guards had virtually no ability to resist against Gardevoir and Mewtwo. They were knocked unconscious almost immediately.

As soon as Mewtwo and Gardevoir returned safely, Lin Feng placed a hand on each of them.
When he opened his eyes again, they had already arrived inside the research facility.
Standing before him was an Alakazam, one of the two Psychic-type Pokémon stationed there.
Even with extensive surveillance outside and Psychic-type guards within, the facility's security remained exceptionally tight.
Team Rocket patrol members in uniform could be seen everywhere, guarding cable lifts, steel bridges, and passageways throughout the complex.
Security cameras covered nearly every corner.
But once Lin Feng had made it this far, everything became much easier.
All he needed to do was randomly pick a Team Rocket squad, knock them out, and use his Viridian Power to search their memories.
Come to think of it, the highest level of Viridian Power was truly remarkable.
It could not only view a Pokémon's past, but also search through human memories.
"Just a couple of grunts."
After checking the memories of several patrol teams, Lin Feng sneered.
On the surface, these people served as ordinary guards protecting the facility.
In reality, they were also there to monitor the researchers.
Their job was to ensure that no one attempted to flee or developed dangerous ideas.
Still, that wasn't important.
These grunts all answered to squad leaders.
The next step was simple.
Find a squad leader.
Use that squad leader to locate a higher-ranking officer.
Then follow the chain upward until reaching the senior executive in charge of the facility.
But before doing that...
"Mewtwo, erase their memories."
Lin Feng still needed Mewtwo to clean up after him.
His goal this time was not simply to destroy one laboratory.
He wanted to quietly uncover the locations of every Team Rocket research facility.
Low-ranking members wouldn't know much.
High-ranking officers certainly would.
He intended to follow every lead, gather every piece of evidence, identify every location, and then hand everything over to the senior officials of the Kanto League all at once.
Only then would he launch the final blow.
If he acted alone and destroyed only one or two facilities now, Team Rocket would immediately abandon the rest and disappear.
That would still be meaningful.
It would likely cripple many of their Pokémon experimentation projects.
But Lin Feng wanted a permanent solution.
He wanted to end the problem completely.
And that required more patience.
After Mewtwo erased the memories of the two Team Rocket members, Lin Feng immediately teleported to their direct superior.
One layer after another.
One officer leading to the next.
Lin Feng steadily worked his way up the chain.
Far from finding it tedious, he became increasingly interested as he gained access to higher-ranking personnel and learned more about the facility's operations.
As it turned out, this was actually one of Team Rocket's most important research centers.
Especially in the past, when Salamence, Dragonite, and other powerful Dragon-type Pokémon had still been imprisoned here.
Team Rocket researchers had discovered that Dragon-type Pokémon possessed a unique vitality within their energy.
Whether used to temporarily enhance combat power or aid in cultivation and training, it produced unusual effects.
Places inhabited by Dragon-type Pokémon were often regions where flowers bloomed abundantly and forests flourished.
Because of this discovery, Team Rocket launched a special research project.
Using the blood of powerful Dragon-type Pokémon combined with studies involving Psychic-type Pokémon, they created a batch of black Poké Balls.
When a Pokémon was captured inside one of these Poké Balls, its potential would be excessively consumed in exchange for a temporary surge in strength.
At the same time, the Poké Ball's psychic modifications ensured that the captured Pokémon would become obedient to its trainer.
However, the production process was extremely complicated and prone to failure.
Combined with the chaos caused by Mewtwo's previous escape, most of the captive Dragon-type Pokémon had broken free.
As a result, only a small number of these black Poké Balls still existed.
Only a handful of high-ranking Team Rocket executives possessed them.
That discovery allowed Lin Feng to breathe a little easier.
But shortly afterward, he uncovered something else.
Something that surprised him far more.
