"Roa…"
The Charizard, a young dragon that looked far more experienced than its age suggested, quickly shook its head and asked, "Roa?"
Where is he?
"I don't know. He left right after handing you over to me," Lin Feng replied.
"Roa!"
Damn that old man!
Charizard immediately began muttering to itself.
Flames puffed out of its nostrils.
Lin Feng and the Pokémon around him were all stunned.
They had never seen a Pokémon with such a fiery temper before.
Dragonite and Goodra gave it a dismissive glance and drifted away.
"Roa?"
Charizard looked back at Lin Feng.
Is he telling me to eat?
Lin Feng nodded. "I guess so?"
He had expected Charizard to start yelling at him.
Instead, in the very next second, the Charizard that had been grumbling just moments ago suddenly broke into a smile.
"Roa…"
What a hassle…
"Uh…"
Lin Feng could not tell whether this was a Charizard that was cold on the inside but polite on the outside.
"Lunch is rice balls. Everyone, dig in."
He did not say anything more.
With a light tap, the food storage ball opened, and large basins of rice balls appeared on every table.
The Pokémon began eating in their own ways.
Even though six hundred rice balls had been made, it still was not enough to ignore the reality of how many Pokémon were present.
Pokémon like Alcremie and Steenee ate quite lightly.
Two or three Alcremie would share a single rice ball, and that was enough to fill them up.
Steenee had a slightly bigger appetite, but one rice ball was still sufficient.
For Sprigatito, Eevee, and Indeedee, one or two were enough as well.
Alolan Ninetales ate a bit more and usually needed three or four.
Serperior, Primarina, and Milotic required much more, around seven or eight each.
Then there were Gardevoir, Mewtwo…
By this kind of calculation, those Pokémon only consumed around fifty or sixty rice balls per meal.
As for the others…
The Pidgeot alone ate more than two hundred.
Each Blaziken went through fifty to sixty.
Dragonite, Salamence, and Goodra were no small eaters either.
Add in Charizard, and Lin Feng felt confident that they could finish everything.
"My goodness… they eat more than two hundred kilos of rice in a single meal…"
Lin Feng silently did the math in his head.
Thankfully, now that he had psychic abilities, along with help from Gardevoir and Hattrem, it was manageable. Otherwise, making this many rice balls in one day would have been completely unrealistic.
Crunch, crunch…
Blaziken stuffed one rice ball after another into its mouth.
"Roa!"
So good, so good… how can this be so delicious…
The Charizard beside it was no ordinary eater either.
You could even say it was savoring every bite. Perhaps it had never eaten rice balls this good before. It ate one after another, chewed a couple of times, then swallowed them whole.
"Good thing I earned another hundred earlier."
Lin Feng sighed inwardly.
Otherwise, there truly would not have been enough food.
After a while, only a few rice balls remained out of the original six hundred.
Charizard patted its belly, feeling that dragon life was finally complete.
It had eaten some last time too, but only around ten.
It still wanted more, but it felt embarrassed to cling to Lin Feng for food in public.
This was great. Jason really should do this more often.
He should bring it here a few more times.
Once it had tasted this sweetness, Charizard could not help thinking that way.
It had completely forgotten how much it had complained earlier.
Congratulations to the host. Charizard's happiness value has increased from 10 to 75. Reward: ten bags of premium Golden Razz, one premium Rare Candy, and one SS rank Fire Stone.
When Lin Feng heard the system notification, he froze, then looked at Charizard in surprise.
The happiness increase last time had been large too, but he had not expected it to jump this much.
Seventy five was not especially high on its own. What was shocking was the scale of the increase.
From 10 to 75.
A full increase of sixty five points.
That kind of jump was extremely rare.
These days, his Pokémon at the plantation were almost never in a bad mood.
So expecting major happiness boosts from them was not very realistic.
In fact, when Squirtle had returned earlier, it had also given him a sizable happiness increase.
But Squirtle was still not very strong, so the reward had been modest, just an A rank Water Stone.
Today, though, those extra hundred rice balls had not been wasted.
At the very least, he had gained an SS rank Fire Stone from Charizard.
That was something you could not buy even with a hundred rice balls on the market.
Lin Feng looked at Charizard and asked, "So, are you full?"
"Roa!"
Charizard looked back at him, its eyes now filled with an almost absurd level of warmth.
This human was kind.
The food he made was unbelievably good.
It could not imagine what kind of life the Pokémon living here enjoyed every single day.
It really wanted to live here forever…
Charizard could not help but sink into deep thought.
Then, in the very next second, a Talonflame appeared in the sky.
It dove toward the garden, and when it dropped to about five meters above the ground, its entire body turned into a red flash and vanished into a Poké Ball.
In its place appeared Charizard's trainer, Jason.
He jumped down.
"So he really brought Charizard here to freeload after meals," Lin Feng thought.
Still, humans in the Pokémon world truly had impressive physiques.
Jumping down from five meters like that without a problem.
As Jason landed, he saw Gardevoir sitting by the table, with Dragonite, Salamence, and Goodra gathered beside her.
Only then did he truly understand what Victor had meant by several Dragon type Pokémon.
And then…
He scanned the garden again, his gaze finally stopping on an unfamiliar Pokémon.
"So this is the legendary Pokémon…"
Mewtwo glanced back at him.
Just that single look, those purple vertical pupils, made Jason's entire body tense.
So strong.
He immediately remembered his earlier conversation with Victor and found himself at a loss for words.
In the end, after holding it in for a long time, he finally blurted out a traditional greeting from the eastern regions.
"Uh… have you eaten yet?"
Charizard walked over, nodding repeatedly as it patted its trainer on the shoulder.
"Roa!"
I'm full. You finally did something right.
Lin Feng said, "We've all eaten. If you haven't, there are still two rice balls left…"
"No, that won't be necessary."
Jason mounted Charizard and, under its slightly reluctant gaze, urged it to leave this place that made him feel unbearably awkward.
Up in the sky, Charizard turned its head to look at Jason.
"Roa!"
When are we coming back?
"Lift your head!"
