Five Years Ago...
Yanlog Clan
The marketplace was bursting with life. Vendors were shouting at the top of their lungs, calling out their wares. People bustled about in waves, bartering, chatting, laughing. The cries of children blended with the murmurs of conversation, creating a lively symphony. It felt more like a grand fair than an ordinary market day.
Everywhere you looked, faces were lit with joy, feet never stopped moving, and hearts beat with excitement. The market was a kaleidoscope of colors.....fabric stalls swayed in the breeze, baskets overflowed with fresh vegetables, and magicians dazzled crowds with displays of mystic tricks.
At one such cloth stall, Fui Lon sat outside, idly chatting with his friends. Inside, Shu Bi Suan and Joye were shopping for new clothes with their mother, Lady Guso Hun. But Fui Lon remained outside.
He and his friend were playing a guessing game.....watching the crowd and trying to figure out where each person had come from.
Just then, a boy passed by dressed in white robes. Fui Lon's friend, Wey xiong, pointed lazily and said:
"That one… he has to be from the Linyan Clan, no doubt.Look at his white clothes "
But the moment Fui Lon heard the words Linyan Clan, and his eyes fell on the boy's white robes.....his heart clenched.
Only one face appeared before his eyes, Mo Yan, dressed in white. As he always walked beside him, he spoke a lot without saying anything. The white color looked so beautiful on him that it seemed as if the white color was made just for his to wear. Everything was passing in front of his eyes, how Mo Yan walked, how he sat beside him, hidden in his silence. He remembered everything. He couldn't remove Mo Yan from his memories even if he wanted to and it seemed that this white color would never let that happen because whenever the white color came in front of him, it reminded him of Mo Yan.
His breath caught in his throat.
His hand trembled, and the tea cup he was holding slipped from his grasp, shattering on the ground.
He hated the color white.
Because white reminded him of Mo Yan.
He had never wanted to join the academy in the first place. He knew Mo Yan would be there. And the very thought of it brought back a deep ache.....because his soul was still cursed.
Every day, whenever he had to go out among people, he needed to wear a special talisman. Without it, his soul could spiral out of control.
That was the reason he stayed away from others.
Especially from Mo Yan.
Fui Lon knew… Mo Yan would always be near him, watching, reaching, never letting go. And now that the Su Tao Jue incantation had long faded, Yu Sui feared his cursed soul might someday hurt Mo Yan.
So, he kept his distance.
But even then… he watched Mo Yan from afar.....with Wey xiong's help.
On the day of the Peach Blossom Bonding Ceremony, he had snuck in secretly, just to catch a glimpse.
And the moment he saw Wang Gung… he knew.
He immediately recognized him.
How could he not?
Their bond was divine.....threaded not through fate, but through lifetimes of love.
His heart whispered the truth before his mind could speak:
Wang Gung was Mo Yan.
Yes…
It was true.
Fui Lon was the reincarnation of Grandmaster Yu Sui.
And the purpose of reincarnation is just that.....
To return with the soul exactly as it once was.
And so, Yu Sui's soul was still cursed.
