Legacy of the Peach Blossom Academy
The atmosphere at the academy was in complete disarray. Faces were painted with confusion; one mystery had barely begun to unfold when another slammed shut. Fui Lon's parents had been summoned and were present in the gathering when Master Zu Gushion explained everything...how Shu Bi Suan, Joye, Wang Gung, Ming Heng, and Zhi Yao had disappeared after the ceremony.
Fui Lon's mother broke down upon hearing this. Shu Bi Suan and Joye were her children too. First, Fui Lon had mysteriously vanished, and now, her other children were gone as well. With a wailing cry, she collapsed on the ground, sobbing uncontrollably.
Everyone rushed to calm her, but how could a mother ever be consoled when her children were missing? Fui Lon's mother was terrified. If the truth about Fui Lon ever came out, who knew what the academy would do to him? And with those fears twisting in her heart, both parents wept bitterly.
After some time, the chaos settled. Fui Lon's mother was gently was pacified . The assembly, however, only grew larger and more intense. The parents of Wang Gung, Ming Heng, and Zhi Yao were also summoned. Their temperaments were observed, and detailed reports were gathered about their behavior.
But among all the faces, one stood out.....a face that seemed calm on the outside, but beneath that mask, fear and fury were hiding. Like a wolf dressed as a lamb, sitting quietly among the herd.
Tension thickened. Because of the appearance of the White Serpentine Dragon, a grand spiritual ledger was brought forward.....an ancient book containing the names of every disciple and spiritual being chosen from the past 200 years till now.
Hours passed. Eyes scanned each name, each line, clinging to hope.....but it was all in vain. There was no record of the White Serpentine Dragon ever choosing anyone. Not a single person or disciple had been selected by this beast before.
And now, the truth began to glimmer through the fog. Whose spiritual beast was this magnificent dragon? Once again, the epic tale of Mo Yan and Yu Sui.....the High King and Grandmaster.....was revisited.
The conclusions drawn shattered hopes and dreams.
Wang Gung's parents had described his nature...quiet, reserved, a master of swordplay, and highly knowledgeable in ancient incantations. And the most compelling proof? The White Serpentine Dragon had chosen Wang Gung, circled him seven times, and recognized his soul.
Everything pointed in one direction.
Toward one name
The High King and Grandmaster, Mo Yan.
