Chapter 174 - 165

You Call Him a Doctor? He's Way Too Strong!**

Leon Lake picked up the phone.

O5-10's voice came through immediately:

> "O5-5 and Agent Frederick will finalize the operation.

Make progress before they arrive."

Leon was about to respond when the voice continued:

> "Oh—and don't worry. Idiots like Dr. Tamar won't be interfering anymore.

You are now the head of the SCP-3143 project."

"Understood."

> "It's all in your hands now, Doctor."

Click.

The call ended.

August stared, wide-eyed.

"What does that mean?"

Leon calmly slid the phone toward him, picked up the case file, and replied:

> "It means I'm in charge now."

August straightened his back immediately.

> "Then the final say belongs to you, Doctor Lake."

Power and freedom granted.

Pressure and responsibility doubled.

The livestream exploded with speculation:

> "How is he going to deal with a walking narrative anomaly??"

"Leon just became the boss of a fictional character—INSANE."

Before anyone could guess—

the screen faded to black.

Fade In — Hard-Boiled Noir Reality

INT. Murphy Detective Agency

Leo Murphy slouched in his chair—

white shirt, trench coat draped behind him—

a Magnum .44 under his arm.

A cigarette burned between his lips.

Newspaper unfolded in his hand.

creak…

The office door pushed open.

A figure stepped inside—

The livestream stopped breathing.

Then—

BOOM 💥

The entire Marvel universe started shouting:

> "LEON LAKE ENTERED THE LOWER NARRATIVE?!"

"He walked straight into Murphy's universe!?!?"

"No way—he's in danger!!"

---

S.H.I.E.L.D.

Everyone froze.

Natasha:

> "Did Murphy drag him in?"

Fury shook his head slowly.

> "Look at the detective's face…"

---

Murphy lowered the newspaper, eyes narrowing.

Narrator (Murphy's voice):

> Foundation agents are all pencil-pushers.

But this one?

This one is trouble.

Murphy sat up straighter.

"I've seen you. Foundation—outside the interview room."

Leon took a seat calmly.

"Hello, Murphy."

Murphy took a deep drag on his cigarette, exhaling slowly.

Narrator:

> This stranger… he feels dangerous.

I need to be careful.

Murphy forced a cool tone:

"So, like everyone else, Doc—need my help on a case?"

Leon folded his hands.

"I do. Something escaped from the Foundation… from me."

Murphy froze.

Narrator:

> Oh great. A serious case.

Murphy studied Leon for a long moment.

"The Foundation can't restrict a being's freedom."

Leon didn't argue.

Instead—

he picked up Murphy's whiskey bottle—

and poured two glasses.

He slid one over…

and raised his own.

He drank first.

Murphy hesitated—then downed his.

He wiped his mouth, glaring.

"So. You want me to hunt this runaway anomaly?"

Leon smiled.

"No."

Murphy blinked.

"What?"

Leon leaned forward—calm, confident:

> "I am now the lead on this containment operation.

I'm not here to capture you."

Murphy's breath caught.

Leon continued:

> "Leo Murphy…

I want you to join us.

Keep being a detective—

but in a far more interesting world."

Narrator:

> Trust him? I'm not sure.

But if we fight…

I'll be the one bleeding.

This guy is way too strong!

---

The livestream ERUPTED—

> "WHAT?? Murphy is intimidated by Leon??"

"Since when is a RESEARCHER scarier than a narrative god??"

"Bro discovered Leon's hidden stat sheet!"

---

S.H.I.E.L.D. Reaction

Natasha laughed:

> "He has no idea Leon is basically a scientist."

Fury didn't laugh.

His face slowly hardened.

> "No…

Murphy can't be tricked.

Not a being who writes reality."

He stared at Leon—

Recalling:

SCP-2845 containment…

SCP-3396 neutralization…

That impossible insight…

And a terrifying thought hit him:

> "Maybe Leon Lake…

isn't just a civilian."

---

Leon Lake + Leo Murphy

A Doctor and a Detective—

One rules Reality.

One rules Narrative.

Togetherq?

Everyone watching felt it—

> Something HUGE just started.
