Chapter 131 - Chapter 125: The O5 Council Splits? The Three Death Brothers Appear!

The audience in the livestream finally understood what Dr. Kondraki had meant earlier.

So that's what it meant when he said—if you mishandle this project, the O5 will come after you.

Because the containment subject…

was the daughter of O5-12.

For a while, the chat exploded with complaints:

> "What the actual hell—how do you even contain something like that?"

"Bruh, no wonder Kondraki looked so stressed. O5's kid?? That's career suicide!"

"Handle this wrong and you're not just dead—you're erased."

---

On-screen, Kondraki spoke again:

"Not only that," he muttered, "strictly speaking, this whole mess is on me."

Leon Lake raised an eyebrow.

"You mean… the SCP-083 termination incident?"

Kondraki bit down on his cigarette, puffed in silence, and finally exhaled a heavy cloud of smoke.

"Yeah. That one."

The audience instantly recalled the disastrous attempt to terminate SCP-083—

The infamous incident where Kondraki nearly turned Site-19 upside down.

Dozens of anomalies had been affected.

Even SCP-682, one of the Foundation's ultimate kill-monsters, had slipped containment.

The losses were incalculable.

But what did that have to do with now?

---

Leon asked bluntly:

"According to Dr. Gears… you wanted to ride SCP-682."

Kondraki scratched the back of his head awkwardly and said nothing.

But sometimes silence is the loudest answer.

The Marvel audience went wild:

> "This dude is CRAZY. He actually tried to cowboy-ride SCP-682??"

"Genius or madman? Both??"

Even Leon looked slightly stunned.

"So… you caused that accident on purpose?"

Kondraki sighed, then admitted:

"Well… not exactly like Gears thought, but close enough. Yeah. I deliberately sabotaged the SCP-083 termination, and I let 682 out."

Leon's expression hardened.

"…Reason."

Kondraki stubbed his cigarette violently into the ashtray, ashes spilling over.

Then he spoke in a low, bitter voice:

"I realized O5 Command was using me like a puppet. Pulling my strings. Watching me dance."

---

Leon frowned.

"So, you rebelled just because you thought they controlled you?"

"Not just that!" Kondraki snapped. His agitation grew as he patted his pockets, searching for another cigarette.

"You ever wonder why people in this place get promoted out of nowhere?

Why certain agents, researchers, directors suddenly rise—just to be toyed with?

Suicides. Mutinies. Demotions. The Foundation chews through people like raw meat."

The livestream fell silent.

Even S.H.I.E.L.D. agents watching looked shaken.

---

Kondraki leaned back, his tone scathing.

"Take Clef, for example. My termination plan in The Duke's End? Approved by the O5 Council themselves.

Clef's insane stunt in Termination Log? Signed off by O5-7."

He sneered.

"Funny thing—one of my supposed 'character traits' is that the O5 keep trying to get rid of me… and somehow, they always fail."

He looked Leon dead in the eyes, his voice suddenly calm—chillingly calm:

"Why do you think that is? Why would the almost-omnipotent O5 Council, with their shadow government and private armies, fail to kill a single researcher?"

Leon said nothing.

Kondraki's smirk faded. His tone flattened, as sharp as a knife:

"Because they never tried hard enough."

---

He leaned forward, speaking like he was revealing a dirty truth:

"The O5 Council doesn't just manage anomalies. They adopt high-level staff like playthings.

They let us do insane shit. Sign off on whatever madness we come up with.

All so they can study us. Control us. Test how far they can pull the strings."

---

The words fell into a heavy silence—on screen, and off.

No one expected this from Kondraki, the reckless, cigar-chomping, chaos-loving "madman" of the Foundation.

But what he said… made far too much sense.

The livestream exploded again:

> "Holy shit… this is terrifyingly logical."

"Wait. So the O5 don't kill him because he's more useful alive—as a test subject?"

"Bro, this is straight-up cosmic horror corporate politics."

Even S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were rattled.

But Nick Fury's face turned grim.

He connected Kondraki's words to the mystery of SCP-321…

And suddenly, he realized—this was only the beginning...
