Chapter 1 - THE SONG THAT BROUGHT US TOGETHER

🌿✨ DEDICATION

For [writer winterbear], who dreamed this story into being.

For every reader who has felt too soft, too quiet, too afraid to be loved — this is for you.

For those who carry heartbreak and hope side by side. May God comfort you, heal you, and show you that your story isn't over yet.

For BTS, whose music became a safe place for the broken-hearted, the dreamers, and the lonely — thank you for reminding us that we're not alone.

And my co writer, Kim Tan — thank you for being with me on this wonderful journey 😊

📖 Chapter One: The Beginning

There was something about music that Jamie couldn't quite explain - how a melody could pull at the strings of her heart, or how a single lyric could feel like someone had quietly written down everything she never had the courage to say.

That was how she found herself sitting by the window, her headphones tucked in, watching the rain kiss the rooftop outside. A song - soft, healing, familiar - echoed gently in her ears. It was Magic Shop by BTS. Her comfort song. The one she always ran to when her mind became a little too loud.

She whispered the lyrics under her breath.

"So show me, I'll show you..."

For Jamie, Magic Shop wasn't just a song. It was a place - a quiet space in her heart where all the overwhelming things could slow down. Where tears could fall freely without judgment. Where she remembered that she wasn't alone.

Her phone buzzed beside her. A new message.

From: Michelle 💬

"Don't forget Bible study this evening, Jamie."

Her lips curled into a soft smile. Michelle - gentle, warm, always kind in ways that made her question if he even knew the kind of effect he had on people. Especially her.

She typed back quickly.

"I won't. Thank you 😊"

What she didn't write was: I'm only showing up because I want to see you again.

Because no matter how many times she told herself it was nothing - that it was just admiration - her heart knew differently.

And slowly, in between Bible studies, choir rehearsals, and those quiet glances exchanged when no one else was looking... something had started to grow.
