Chapter 525 - Chapter 520: Bibi Dong’s interrogation

Spirit City, Pope's Hall.

The vast hall still retained the same magnificence it had possessed for countless years. Pillars engraved with angelic patterns stood like silent guardians, while sacred golden flames burned calmly on both sides of the crimson carpet. Yet compared to the splendor surrounding it, the woman seated upon the papal throne appeared strangely ordinary.

Bibi Dong sat quietly with one hand supporting her cheek. There was no overwhelming divine pressure leaking from her body. All of her strength was perfectly restrained within herself.

However, it was precisely this calmness that made Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo feel even more pressure.

Because they understood one thing very clearly. The current Bibi Dong had already stepped into the realm of Gods.

Even if she merely sat there casually, she was no longer a being mortals could measure.

Chrysanthemum Douluo lowered his head respectfully, while Ghost Douluo remained unusually stiff. Finally, Bibi Dong opened her eyes slowly.

Her gaze landed directly on Ghost Douluo.

"Elder Ghost," she spoke lightly, her tone calm yet carrying unquestionable authority, "I believe you were once part of the hidden organization established by Renxue."

Ghost Douluo's heart skipped a beat as Bibi Dong continued calmly,

"If I remember correctly… it was called the Twilight Hermit Order."

The entire hall became deathly silent.

Even Chrysanthemum Douluo's expression changed slightly. Although he had vaguely sensed unusual movements in Spirit Hall throughout these years, he never expected Bibi Dong to suddenly bring up such a matter directly.

Twilight Hermit Order, a hidden force that had silently spread throughout the continent over the years.

Even now, very few people truly understood how deep its influence ran.

The organization had used Spirit Hall as its foundation while secretly extending its influence toward nobles, soul masters, merchants, and even imperial families.

Although many traces had already been erased carefully, Bibi Dong was still the ruler of Spirit Hall. Now that she possessed divine senses, it was impossible to hide everything from her forever.

Ghost Douluo subconsciously swallowed.

Gulp.

Cold sweat appeared on his forehead. Inside his heart, he felt like crying.

'I really don't want to get crushed between the conflict of mother and daughter…'

He desperately tried recalling the final instructions Qian Renxue had once given him. However, the moment he attempted to remember, his mind became blurry. It was as though a layer of mist covered all related memories.

The harder he tried to think, the more indistinct everything became. Ghost Douluo's pupils shrank slightly in fear.

He lowered his head quickly, afraid that even the slightest hesitation might anger Bibi Dong.

"I only remember that I joined some hidden organization under Young Master's orders, but every detailed memory related to it seems covered by fog. No matter how much I try, I cannot remember anything clearly."

As he spoke, even his voice trembled slightly. Seeing Bibi Dong's calm gaze fixed upon him, Ghost Douluo hurriedly continued.

"Your Highness!" his voice carried obvious panic. "I truly cannot recall clearly… I am telling the truth!"

"Your Highness… please believe me. I truly am not hiding anything."

The atmosphere in the hall became increasingly heavy.

Chrysanthemum Douluo silently glanced at Ghost Douluo with sympathy. In the current Spirit Hall, probably only Ghost Douluo would end up trapped in such an impossible situation.

Bibi Dong looked at him quietly for several moments before finally speaking again.

The expected anger did not erupt. Instead, only a short and calm reply echoed through the vast Pope's Hall.

"I know."

Ghost Douluo froze, Bibi Dong's voice was neither cold nor furious. It was as though she had already expected Ghost Douluo's answer long before he opened his mouth.

This was not the first time she had captured and interrogated members connected to the Twilight Hermit Order.

Over the past year she had personally investigated countless clues hidden beneath Spirit Hall's expanding influence.

Torture, spiritual probing, and even divine corruption authority had all been used, yet every attempt ended the same way. The memories of those connected to the organization were shrouded beneath an invisible mist, as if some supreme existence had rewritten their cognition itself.

Even Bibi Dong, who had already stepped beyond the mortal realm, could not forcibly uncover those hidden secrets.

It was as though the memories themselves existed within a dream that no outsider could touch.

Ghost Douluo lowered his head, cold sweat dripping from his forehead. The pressure inside the hall was suffocating despite Bibi Dong restraining her aura completely. Standing before a true god made every movement feel difficult.

Bibi Dong merely rested her chin against her hand while sitting upon the magnificent papal throne. Her eyes carried exhaustion.

At the side of the hall, a figure slowly walked out from the darkness. No one sensed her arrival. Not even Bibi Dong who had become a God.

Qian Renxue wore a golden-white robe embroidered with faint divine patterns. Her long golden hair flowed quietly behind her, while her purple eyes remained indifferent, devoid of worldly emotion.

She stood there silently like an observer outside reality itself. Her gaze swept across everyone inside the hall before finally resting upon Bibi Dong.

"I have already given you everything you required," Qian Renxue said softly.

"The obstacles within your fate were removed by me long ago. Your strength, your opportunity, even your rise beyond mortality… all of it was allowed to happen."

Her tone carried no pride, only calm indifference.

"Now after receiving all of that… can you truly change your destiny?"
