Chapter 94 - Chapter 93 : Salas

'Salas… If the my knowledge of the novel is true, if he really is that kind of monster…'

Qian Renxue's expression didn't change, but a faint chill entered her eyes.

She leaned slightly toward Ghost Douluo and murmured, "We don't want tails, do we?"

He moved forward silently, his stooped posture suddenly straightening. The moment he stepped ahead of Qian Renxue, the air around him shifted. He stared at the gangsters with eyes, as if assessing corpses already buried.

"Do you want to fight?" he asked softly.

A ripple of unease passed through the gang.

"What's with this old—?"

They didn't finish the thought.

In that instant, something odd occurred. Their attention, which had been fixed on the delicate-looking girl, suddenly shifted entirely to the man before them. They couldn't remember why they had focused on her to begin with. She was still there, of course, but her presence faded from their minds like a forgotten dream.

Qian Renxue stood quietly, her power activated.

Psychological Invisibility and Battle Hypnosis from her beyonder's abilties

Then she silently released her martial soul and cast

Third soul skill -Illusion.

Second soul skill- Emotion Control

The thugs' blood boiled with aggression and their restraint dissolved.

One of them lunged forward and that was enough.

Ghost Douluo didn't even flinch.

He moved like flowing shadow, his body low, quick, and controlled. His fists attacked with precision.

The first man took a blow to the ribs so sharp that his feet left the ground. Another reached for a blade, only to find his wrist twisted and shattered in a heartbeat. A third tried to run—only to be caught by a heel to the back of his neck and before he crumpled down.

The remaining ones didn't even understand what was happening before they were already on the ground, groaning in agony. Not one of them could rise.

It was over in less than twenty seconds.

Ghost Douluo straightened his collar, not a speck of dust on him. He glanced at the children, none of whom had moved.

He turned back toward Qian Renxue, who just came back after giving hypnosis and psychological cue silently to all the surrounding people.

As they walked away, the people around blinked and whispered.

"Did something happen here?"

"What was all that noise?"

And then came the strangest part, none of them could clearly recall who the girl was.

Outside the slum

" Uncle Ghost," Qian Renxue asked without looking back, "do we have confirmation that Salas is returning to Tiandou City?"

"Yes," he replied quietly, "He'll likely arrive at the Spirit Hall branch of Heaven Dou City today."

----

After a long circuit inspecting the Spirit Hall branches in the surrounding towns, Bishop Salas finally returned to the provincial headquarters of Spirit Hall in Heaven Dou City.

Salas was one of the four Platinum Bishops , a high-ranking and influential figure within Spirit Hall. An aging man with sharp cunning behind his ever-narrowed eyes, he wore flowing crimson robes, and atop his head rested a five-sided platinum hat that glinted faintly under the morning light. His frame was lean and wiry, more like a spear than a staff, slender shoulders and long limbs that moved with deceptive frailty.

Despite his tired appearance, Salas was anything but weak, he was a Soul Douluo with Level 85. Known for his shrewdness and sharp political mind, he rarely acted without calculation. He was a man who could bow low before a greater force today and bury a knife tomorrow, always striking when others least expected.

Today, as he stepped into the central hall of Spirit Hall's Heaven Dou City branch, the administrative heart of the surrounding region. He was already thinking of paperwork and potential threats. He was just about to retire to his private chamber when the front doors slammed open.

A pair of figures entered the hall without permission.

"What is the meaning of this?!" the attendant barked. "Bishop Salas has only just returned from an exhausting journey! He is in no state to entertain uninvited guests!"

Salas waved a hand absently, letting his subordinate speak. He was about to nod in agreement when he caught sight of the intruders.

An odd duo.

A young blonde girl, barely more than 8 years old, but with an air of composure that didn't belong to children and beside her, a tall man in dark robes whose presence was suffocating and unmistakable.

Salas's heart skipped a beat , because he recognized the girl...His narrowed eyes sharpened.

Golden hair and that calm, arrogant grace… he has seen her once he had visited Spirit City.

Qian Renxue, the Granddaughter of Qian Daoliu, the Grand Worshiper of Spirit Hall and the daughter of Qian Xunji, the current Pope.

His attendant, still ranting, stepped forward, and stopped mid-sentence when Qian Renxue wordlessly reached into her pocket.

She pulled out a small, flat token, jet black with a golden border . There were six patterns on the token are sword, hammer, crown, an incomplete human form, a dragon and a chrysanthemum.

All the symbols on the token were lit up, people who have this token are considered an elder of Spirit Hall.

It was An Elder's Token. While Qian Renxue is not an elder, being the grand daughter of Qian Daoliu gives her certain privelages.

The air in the room changed instantly.

The attendant choked on his own words, eyes bulging as he tried to stammer an apology.

Salas raised a hand with barely concealed urgency. "That's enough. Step outside."

The attendant hesitated only a moment before bowing and scurrying out, cold sweat running down his neck.

Left alone with the two figures, Salas forced a warm smile onto his lips, every inch the gracious host.

"Please," he gestured to a luxurious sofa in the inner chamber, "take a seat. Let us speak comfortably."
