Chapter 58 - Chapter 57: The Undead Demiplane

At the 34th try, a faint spectral flame awakened within the fish bones.

It was weak, rudimentary and primitive. But it was her first undead.

Qian Renxue blinked in shock. Then she smiled.

"I… did it."

The ghostly light in the skeletal fish flickered softly, hovering between existence and collapse.

Qian Renxue sighed, her expression half-defeated, half-curious.

"It feels like I'm not very talented in magic."

But Electrolux appeared beside her like a wisp of air, his robes gently swaying inside her Spirit Sea, as if time itself respected his presence.

He smiled, eyes full of wisdom and warmth.

"It's actually the opposite. You're the most talented magic apprentice I've ever laid my eyes on."

Qian Renxue turned to him, surprised.

"Normal apprentices can only use their first-level magic after at least a few months of study and attempts. Even I, the so-called 'Child of Light,' required ten days to succeed and that was only because I had perfect control of light magic from the beginning."

Qian Renxue didn't speak, but her eyes, bright, proud, and slightly teary said everything.

Electrolux smiled even more gently and raised his hand. Light glowed at his fingertips as he silenced all soul energy fluctuations in the room, forming an invisible isolation barrier.

Then he turned to her with a faintly solemn expression.

"Now that you've taken the first step, it's time to show you something… special."

Qian Renxue blinked.

"Special?"

Electrolux nodded. His hand moved again, this time drawing a shimmering portal in the air. The edges glowed with pale-blue necrotic light infused with golden threads of light energy.

"You are now ready to enter… my Undead Demiplane."

.....

The Undead Demiplane was not a natural realm , it was a dimensional space forged by Electrolux himself, back in his own world.

Unlike stable worlds like Douluo Continent, which were bound by physical laws and vast spiritual networks, the Undead Demiplane was a pure energy construct. A domain of magic, forged from will, refined by death, and illuminated by light.

Everything inside, the structures, the terrain, the sky, the creatures were made from magic and stabilized energy. It was an incredible feat of magical craftsmanship.

Electrolux stepped forward and gestured for her to follow.

Qian Renxue, feeling both curiosity and awe, stepped through the portal.

...

As she entered the Undead Demiplane, a sudden coolness wrapped around her.

She opened her eyes to a realm that resembled twilight. A silver-blue sun glowed dimly in the violet sky. Rolling fields of white grass waved gently, and translucent crystal trees shimmered in ghostly silence.

Pale-blue undead beasts roamed silently, their eyes flickering like lanterns.

It was silent.

Not in an eerie way, but in the kind of silence that respected the dead.

Electrolux walked beside her as if walking through a memory.

"This was once my sanctuary."

Qian Renxue stared in amazement.

"It's… beautiful."

He turned to her, eyes sharp yet kind.

'One day, you might be its master too.'

The number of spectral creatures his Undead Demiplane contained was seemingly limitless. Of course, this wasn't true in the literal sense, there was indeed a maximum threshold of spectral entities that could exist simultaneously. However, once that limit was reached, the plane would simply regenerate new creatures if any were destroyed, vanished, or summoned outside. It maintained equilibrium like a self-correcting ecosystem of death.

Under the guidance of Electrolux, Qian Renxue explored the mysterious domain.

.....

They moved along the desolate silent land, as the air shimmered faintly with floating motes of light and spirit particles.

Ice Dragons glided above in the sky, their translucent wings leaving trails of frost in their wake. Towering and majestic, they radiated strength on par with Titled Douluo. Their bodies looked like ice-sculpted dragons with pale-blue veins glowing like frozen lightning beneath their scales.

"These are one of the apex creatures of this plane," Electrolux explained. "I forged them from the cores of ancient glacial beasts who died seeking vengeance. Here, they protect the balance."

Qian Renxue stared, enchanted.

Then they moved into a cavernous valley where Abominations stomped around, a horrifying species with grotesque bloated stomachs dripping with acidic bile. They were green-skinned giants, pulsating with dark fluid and grotesque muscle, yet moved with unnatural speed.

"Near-indestructible," Electrolux said. "Land kings. Brutish… but faithful."

A rumble passed through the ground as one of them passed by.

Next, she saw Terror Knights, headless warriors clad in spiked dark plate armor, wielding jagged bone cleavers. The air grew heavier as they marched, a rhythm echoing in deathly silence.

In a nearby necropolis, Liches hovered in the air, swaying rhythmically as they chanted in an ancient tongue, staffs of bone crackling with magical runes.

Qian Renxue saw some of them revive fallen spectral creatures, ghouls and skeletons mostly, with glowing necromantic spells. Though the revived undead lasted only minutes, the power of it sent chills down her spine.

Farther out in the fields, she saw vampires, their red eyes gleaming with hunger, ghouls scuttling in packs, and skeletons practicing formations with rusted weapons.

Despite their terrifying appearances, all the creatures ignored her presence completely, thanks to Electrolux's mark upon her soul.

.....

After a long while, Electrolux turned toward her, stopping on a hill that overlooked the entire realm.

His voice was calm, yet with an edge of expectation.

"Based on the level of your talent, just making you practice undead spells is a waste of your potential."

He smiled.

"Let's skip the rote basics and go for something more practical, try controlling the lowest level soldier of this demiplane."

Qian Renxue's eyes lit up.

"Control?"
