At Casa Bonita mansion, Ruth walks into Esmeralda's room and halts her morning meditation.

Oh! Isn't rather too early Ruth? I don't think I am in the mood for breakfast now, besides i want to make my food myself so please clear the dining table.

Pardon my disobedience my Lady but i was specifically instructed by my master not to allow you involve yourself with any activity, so please allow me to attend to all your needs.

You know you really cannot stop me right? Anyways take a deep breath because i do not intend stressing myself too much too, certainly not now.
Ruth! I feel some pain around my pelvic area and it gets worse every second.

Do you want to put a call to the family doctor my lady? I believe the pain is related to the baby's expectation.

Not at all Ruth, i think i would rather visit the hospital so as to have a proper checkup. Please tell Carlos to get the car ready we will be leaving for the hospital in some minutes.

A few hours later Esmeralda arrives at Ruber Hospital and makes her way to Dr. Benjamin's office.

The nurse informs Doctor Benjamin about Esmeralda's presence and he asks for her to be brought in.

How are you doing? I was in doubt you said on the phone that you were visiting the hospital.

Why doctor? I already told you why I do not want you at Casa Bonita, hence the reason why I always take the stress to come to the hospital for my checkups.

I understand that you chose me as your doctor instead of your husband's family doctor, but I still do not see the big deal in that.
Lady Esmeralda if you put to birth today your husband Mateo would find out that i have been the one attending to you and not his own doctor, besides am your family doctor too.

This morning, I woke up and went to the restroom to ease myself and when I returned to my bed, the pains started and since then it keeps getting worse.

Your baby is okay and breathing well, there is no problem here except that you may not be going back home today.

Why? Why won't i be going back home today? You just said that my baby is fine.

But then today isn't my expected date so what changed?

Well nothing changed, some babies tend to arrive earlier than expected while others very late. So in your case your baby is arriving earlier than the expected date.
That being said i would call on the nurses to take you to your room and help you get ready to welcome your baby, are you okay with that lady Esmeralda?

Yes! Of course, I'm very okay with it.
I have a request, Doctor Benjamin, please do not call my husband once I am put to birth, I will do so myself.

I was going to ask you why but since you kept my business with you away from him I won't oblige, just make sure you have the permission of the nurse so you don't stress yourself after your delivery.

A few hours later in the labor room, Esmeralda calls for the attention of a nurse

What is happening to me, nurse? The pains just keep getting worse, and I feel very weak.
~Esmeralda
You are experiencing labour pains which is very much expected because your baby is making his way out, Just try and stay calm for now you will be relieved of all this stress and pain in a few minutes.
~Nurse
I can't.., I can stay calm, the pain is driving me crazy, and am weary from shouting and crying. Please go get Dr. Benjamin to come check on me.
~Esmeralda
You will be fine Mrs Rodriguez.
Meanwhile, you are already on energy drip so you won't wobble by the time your baby is ready to come out.
You just relax, I will check back on you in a few minutes.

The nurse is about to walk out of the room but Esmeralda stops her.

Wait! I feel it, I feel the baby is coming, I want to push.

Oh! No! Don't push yet.
Hold on let me get the midwife.

The nurse quickly rushes out and informs the midwife and other nurses, they all return back to Esmeralda's room and immediately takes her to the delivery room.

Suddenly there is a baby boy who softly mewls and it is bouncing.

Look at your baby boy, he looks just like you.

My baby.., my son, here you are finally.
