Chapter 72 - 《One Piece: Magma of Absolute》Chapter 72: The Great Battle of Scree (Part 2)

Kong and Zephyr exchanged a look—no words needed.

With a thunderous stomp, Kong tore through the air toward Roger, sonic booms trailing in his wake. Zephyr shot toward the Oro Jackson.

The government agent flickered and vanished, reappearing aboard a distant warship. In a flash, he spirited away Vice Admiral Quell.

Meanwhile, Garp and Roger—still reeling from the shockwaves—were locked in a relentless struggle, plunging into the sea as their battle raged on.

Garp's fists blazed with pitch-black Armament Haki as he rocketed through the water. The ocean barely slowed him; the water parted before him, sending towering waves crashing behind.

Half-submerged, Roger watched the oncoming Garp. Both hands wrapped around his blade, Conqueror's Haki crackling along its length.

He raised his sword high and brought it down in a savage arc.

A spinning slash of black sword aura, hundreds of meters wide, tore through the sea, carving a massive cylindrical void straight at Garp.

Garp's eyes flashed. He drew his right arm back, muscles straining, veins bulging. As the monstrous slash closed in, he roared:

"Meteor Bone!"

His fist, surging with Armament Haki, hammered into the heart of the sword aura.

BOOM!

An enormous crater exploded open in the sea, hundreds of meters across. The slash, now laced with Garp's own Haki, whirled around—reversing direction in an instant.

With a burst of speed, Garp skimmed the sea's surface, sonic booms in his wake, charging straight for Roger.

Roger watched the giant slash come screaming back and gave a low chuckle.

He gathered his Conqueror's Haki once more, blade pulsing with power. As the attack closed in, he slashed again.

The impact launched Roger out of the water, feet skimming the waves as he was driven backward. Water exploded skyward on either side, his left foot sliding back to brace.

Twisting his body, he swung from right front to left rear, unleashing a slightly smaller slash.

The two sword auras—one large, one small—spiraled together, streaking toward Fleet Admiral Kong, who was closing in from behind.

Kong saw the attacks coming, Armament Haki coating his entire body. With a mighty leap, he soared over both slashes. As he passed overhead, he swung a hand down.

An invisible burst of Armament Haki shot out, striking the center of the twin slashes.

Half a heartbeat later—

BOOM!

Both slashes detonated, a shockwave hurling Kong forward, even faster than before, straight at Roger.

He drew both arms to his waist. Armament Haki condensed, shaping his forearms into deadly, drill-like points.

With a blur of motion, he unleashed a barrage—dozens of conical air bullets screaming toward Roger.

Roger saw the sky fill with deadly projectiles. He raised his blade to block.

CLANG!

Energy crackled as the first bullet struck, then—

SWISH SWISH SWISH!

A rain of conical blasts hammered down, encasing Roger in a storm of destruction.

The impact triggered a chain reaction. The energy bullets detonated as one.

BOOM!!!

A colossal explosion erupted around Roger, blasting a vast crater in the sea, which continued to expand outward.

Before the blast reached its limit, a streak of blade light cut through the heart of the explosion.

A tornado of black sword aura burst upward, shredding the shockwave and unleashing wild, chaotic winds.

At the center, Roger glared at his two assailants, savage fury blazing in his eyes.

Both hands tightened on his blade, Haki surging. He swung again.

A flash of blade light tore through the chaos.

Aboard the Oro Jackson.

The crew fought to steer clear of the battlefield where Sengoku, Rayleigh, and Jabba clashed, heading toward Garp's warship.

Suddenly, Zephyr crashed down from the sky, smashing into the deck and splintering it beneath his feet.

The crew instantly snapped to high alert. Towering Seagull charged forward—nearly four meters tall, muscles bulging, a beast of a man.

Like a rampaging wild boar, he barreled straight at Zephyr, no fancy moves, just brute force. His fist, coated in Armament Haki, whistled through the air, oppressive and deadly.

Zephyr stood his ground. Armament Haki covered his arms. Left foot forward, right fist drawn back—

SWOOSH!

A sharper, deadlier sound split the air. Zephyr's right fist was suddenly there, smashing into Seagull's punch.

BOOM!

The collision sent shockwaves rippling outward. At the center, Seagull's face twisted; his massive, hardened arm trembled under the force, veins bulging as he struggled to hold on.

Zephyr didn't even flinch. His iron wrist pressed harder.

CRACK!

A sickening snap—Seagull's face contorted in agony, cold sweat pouring down. He was sent flying, clutching his arm as he crashed into the rail.

He struggled to rise, but Zephyr was already on him.

A merciless iron hand clamped around Seagull's neck, choking off his breath. As Zephyr raised his fist for the kill, the rest of the crew attacked.

First was Sambel, a hulking fish-man who looked fat but was packed with muscle. His Armament Haki-coated harpoon sliced through the air, aiming for Zephyr's temple.

Danger prickled at the edge of Zephyr's senses, but he was done with mercy.

He blocked the harpoon with his right hand—

CLANG!

—and yanked Seagull closer with his left, slamming a Haki-charged knee into his skull and releasing his grip.

CRACK!

Bone shattered. Seagull's face caved in, fragments piercing the skin.

Zephyr raised his left fist high and brought it down hard on the back of Seagull's head.

BANG!

The giant's body crumpled, rolling lifelessly across the deck.

"Seagull!!!"

"You bastard!!"

"Damn you, Zephyr!!!"

Ignoring the howls of rage, Zephyr tore the harpoon from his right hand.

"AAAAAAAHHH!!"

Veins bulged on his face as he roared, swinging Sambel—harpoon and all—overhead and slamming him into the deck.

BOOM!

He yanked the harpoon backward, sending the dazed Sambel flying. Zephyr targeted the hands gripping the shaft and stomped down with his Haki-coated left foot.

CRACK!

Far off, Rayleigh and Jabba, still fighting Sengoku, suddenly turned toward the Oro Jackson, faces darkening. They tried to break away, but Sengoku was waiting.

Catching them off guard, the giant golden Buddha pressed both palms together. Endless golden light flared.

HUM—!

BOOM!!!

A mushroom cloud hundreds of meters tall rose into the sky.

Back on the main battlefield, Roger sensed his crewmates' auras flicker and vanish.

Blood-red fury flooded his eyes. Violent energy exploded from him as he broke free from Kong and Garp, desperate to rush to his friends' aid.

But the sound of slicing air came from behind—Kong and Garp gave chase, blocking his path.

Even in his rage, Roger was forced onto the defensive by their combined assault.

Black-violet lightning crackled everywhere, killing intent surging in every direction, making Roger even more ferocious.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The battle only grew more savage.
