Chapter 4 - Another Player

A girl was standing at the balcony of her house, it was pretty high. High enough to kill someone if they were to fall...

She was just looking down the balcony when a voice came from behind.

"Hey, there. Would you like to die?~"

The voice sounded like they were joking but they were serious about it.

She turned around to look at the person who was talking to her, she was kind of confused but also scared.

After all, someone came out of nowhere... Asking her if she would like to die or not!

Of course not! She wouldn't want to die, why would she!?

Even though the voice asked whether you'd like to die or not... They weren't really going to spare her even if she said no.

And the person looked like someone from another world, it had humanoid features but it wasn't a human!

She realized such things immediately and was quite frightened. But she still hadn't died, she can survive if she play it smart... Right?

"...Who are you?" She asked while keeping her guard up.

"Do you want to die or not? Hmm~?" The person repeated the same thing they had said earlier.

"No, I do not want to die.." she said relucantly.

She knew she wouldn't be spared either way but she still tried.

"Ah, okay. It's fine, I won't kill you since you don't want to die..." They said with a disappointed voice.

Then they appeared right in front of the girl and pushed her down the balcony!

"But it's not me killing you if you die of an "accident", by falling down the balcony~!"

She saw this coming but before she got to say anything else she was already dead.

Dead after hitting her head with the ground after falling from the balcony...

She had died, or so she thought. Or maybe she still died regardless?...

She opened her eyes as she found herself... in an unfamiliar place. No, it was familiar. This was the view of a starting point from a game!

"Lunar Eclipse..?" She muttered quietly to herself.

She was still able to speak. That meant she was still alive, right?

But then she realized even if she's really still alive... This game was one she had only played a few times. How would she survive the first episode that included running away from hundreds of monster in real life?

She didn't spend much time on playing games. Instead she read a lot of novels, web novels, light novels or whatever, whatever.

She knew what this was all about. It was transmigration! But then... that means the person earlier came to transmigrate her into this world!

Although she was familiar with this troupe, she didn't find it pleasant when she ended up being transmigrated...

And into a game she wasn't exactly good at. She still felt the pain of dying just a few moments ago... And it looks like she'll be dying just after transmigrating.

She touched her own face and corfirmed she was really still alive. And she was also in her body, she didn't transmigrate into someone else's body...

She was relieved because she didn't want to deal with having 2 souls in 1 body kind of things...

She slowly recollected her thought. She had plenty of time until the monsters finds her. They were still quite far from the house she was in.

'Hmm.. since I have transmigrated, does that make me some sort of main character?... But this game is unbeatable in the first place. Even if I have transmigrated, it's absurd to think I'll survive just because of the knowledge I had from reading transmigration novels... Even if I have knowledge of transmigration kind of stories, I don't have enough knowledge of this game! Why this game of all games anyways?!'

She vented to herself to calm down. Unless she let all her frustrations out, she wouldn't be able to recollect her thoughts on survival.

But she still remembered how to survive the first episode, in fact she had made it up to the 5th episode and almost the 6th...

You had to stay as quiet as possible and get as far away from monsters while hiding and run away the moment you get caught or you could just run away as fast as possible as soon as you start the game.

The first option was safer but it took more time so most players just run away as fast as they can to the main city.

But she wasn't willing to take such risks like she did while playing the game. It was real life now. Not a virtual reality game.

So she stayed as quiet as possible while sneaking away from the monster flooded city...

She had now left the house she was previously in and now she was heading towards the direction of the main city.

She had been heading there for a while now and she had finally gotten closer to the main city! Enough to make a run for it safely from the monsters without too many of them noticing her.

There was monsters in the way but it doesn't seem like they had noticed her yet... Good, good.

Just as she was about to start making the run for it after reaching the point she needed to reach...

A voice rang out in the city filled with monsters everywhere. "Hey, You there! Come this way!"

...

I went back to the previous monster flooded city at the start and I immediately found a player!

They were already quite close to the main city and was already heading towards the main city. They were just near the exit of the monster flooded city!

The system notified me of it. They were still quite far from me. So I got a little closer to the city until they were not so far away from me.

And I kind of messed up... I only meant to speak loud enough for them to hear me but my voice was louder than I thought it would be.

After all, it was a silent city only filled with monster's sounds. If a human just shouted a little then all monsters would hear it!

"Hey, you there! Come this way!" I shouted. No, I only meant to say loud enough for them to hear but I did it unintentionally, just like at the start...
