Chapter 35 - CHAPTER 34: CHALLENGE

A MESSAGE TO THE DEVIL'S MAN

The entire United Kingdom was in shock.

For the first time in history, the Grim Reaper had directly called out Alexander Bluestone.

The broadcast had aired on every major news channel. An unknown masked figure, clad in black, stood before the camera. His voice was distorted, yet his words were clear and chilling.

"Alexander Bluestone. The so-called Devil's Man. The detective who claims to cleanse the world of evil."

The figure tilted his head slightly, as if amused.

"You've entertained me long enough. But now, let's see if you can truly stop me. My next target—"

A brief pause. Then, the masked man's voice darkened.

"The British Museum. Catch me, detective, if you can."

The screen cut to black.

The country erupted in chaos.

News stations replayed the message repeatedly. Debates surged on social media. The government issued an emergency response. The British Museum, one of the most secured historical sites in the UK, was now the Grim Reaper's next stage.

But amidst all the chaos—

IN THE DETECTIVE OFFICE

Inside the dimly lit office, the atmosphere was tense. Madison, Darmian, and Rose sat in stunned silence, staring at the screen.

The weight of the challenge was clear.

This was not just another crime. This was personal.

A direct challenge to Alexander Bluestone.

And yet—

A low chuckle broke the silence.

The three turned toward Alexander.

He sat on his chair, his sapphire-blue eyes gleaming in the dim light. A smirk played on his lips.

Then, without an ounce of concern—

He laughed.

A deep, dark, almost amused laugh.

THE DEVIL'S REACTION

Madison stared. "Are you… actually laughing?"

Darmian's expression was unreadable. "This isn't a joke, Alexander."

Rose, still shaken, hesitated. "He's calling you out. Publicly. Aren't you even a little… concerned?"

Alexander exhaled, leaning back in his chair. "Concerned?" His smirk widened. "No. This is exactly what I wanted."

Madison frowned. "What do you mean?"

Alexander's eyes flickered with something dangerous. "The Grim Reaper has finally made a mistake."

Darmian folded his arms. "And what mistake is that?"

Alexander slowly stood up, his presence casting a shadow over the room.

"He thinks this is a game."

His sapphire-blue eyes locked onto the screen, where the masked figure had challenged him. His smirk turned sharper.

"I'll show him what happens when you challenge me."
