Chapter 113 - Chapter 113: Leaving?

Early Morning:-

The sun had barely begun to peek over the horizon, casting a soft, golden glow over the quiet farm. We were renting rooms from a kind, elderly widow who lived a few miles off the main road.

Usually, at this hour, Takson would be in the fields, sweating through his morning drills.

Today, he was standing outside my door, staring at the wood as if trying to memorize its grain.

"Query: Do you require something?"

"Gah!"

Takson jumped, spinning around. Even after all these years, he still hadn't adapted to my habit of bypassing his senses. Or perhaps, subconsciously, he chose not to.

"T-Teacher! You're already up?" he stammered, his massive frame shifting awkwardly. He was nervous. It was an unusual look for a battle-hardened warrior, but around me, he frequently reverted to these childlike mannerisms.

I walked past him and pushed the door open.

"Query: Do you wish to discuss this inside?"

"Yes, ma'am," he nodded, taking a deep breath and following me into the room.

The room was exactly as the widow had left it. The bed was perfectly made; not a single crease marred the blankets. Takson noticed this, as he always did.

He wasn't a fool. As he had grown older and wiser, his childish belief that I was a literal, divine "Angel" had evolved. He had noticed my lack of breathing. He had seen the metallic seams on my skin when my disguise dropped during intense combat. He knew, deep down, that I was something akin to a golem or an advanced magical construct.

But it didn't change anything for him. Flesh, magic, or metal, I was the one who had saved him from the dark. To him, I was his Angel.

And right now, his instincts were screaming that his Angel was about to vanish.

"Query: What is on your mind?" I asked, turning to face him.

I already knew the answer. The timing was too coincidental.

Just yesterday, Pseudo-Rasiel had finally reached 100%. The analysis was complete.

The moment the counter hit absolute completion, my database was flooded. I didn't just gain access to all the magic currently existing in this world; Rasiel had tapped into the world's root, its timeline. Spells from the distant past, spells that hadn't even been invented yet, they were all downloaded directly into my memory banks. The well of knowledge had run dry.

My primary objective in this universe was finished. I had planned to make one final stop at the Elven Village to see Frieren, and then activate the Dimensional Engine.

"Teacher..." Takson hesitated, struggling to find the words.

"Notice: I have an announcement to make to both of you," I stated, cutting through his hesitation.

Takson blinked. "'Both' of us?"

"Reminder: Flamme. You may enter. There is no need to eavesdrop."

The door creaked open further. Flamme stepped inside, rubbing the back of her neck with an embarrassed smile. "Ahaha... you caught me."

"What the…?!" Takson spun around, staring at the orange-haired mage in shock. "When did you get there? I didn't hear a thing!"

Flamme walked over and sat casually on a wooden stool. "I've been here the whole time."

"Reminder: Takson. Against a mage of Flamme's caliber, the probability of your physical senses detecting her active concealment magic is approximately 0.5%."

"Hehe, see?" Flamme grinned, looking incredibly smug at my validation.

It was their usual dynamic. The brawny, straightforward older brother and the clever, teasing younger sister. I observed them for a fraction of a second, committing the image to my archives.

Then, I delivered the news.

"Announcement: I am leaving."

My voice was as flat and even as ever. I stated it like I was reading the weather report.

The room went dead silent.

I watched their biometric data spike. Their heart rates accelerated; their stress levels surged. Flamme's smile vanished, her eyes widening slightly before she forced her expression back to a neutral state.

Takson, however, froze completely. His breathing hitched.

But he didn't cry. He didn't drop to his knees and beg me to stay. He just stood there, his jaw clenched tight.

He really has grown, I noted with a flicker of satisfaction.

A full minute passed in suffocating silence. Finally, Takson found his voice. It was thick and heavy.

"Teacher... can you tell us where you're going?"

He didn't ask to come with me. He understood the finality in my tone. But he wanted a destination. A goal. A place he could search for in the future.

Flamme looked at me, her green eyes echoing the same desperate question.

I recognized the human psychological need for a lingering connection. They wanted to hold onto the hope that, one day, they might find me again. If they spent their lives searching for me, it would give them a purpose, but it would also chain them to the past.

As their teacher, it was my duty to cut that chain. Cleanly. Absolutely.

"Warning: My destination is 'Outside the World.'"

I met Takson's gaze, my golden eyes offering no comfort, no warmth.

"This is a permanent farewell. Do not attempt to search for me. The probability of you finding me is 0%."

Having delivered the facts, I turned and walked toward the door, passing between the two of them. I stepped out into the hallway, leaving them alone in the quiet room.

…

"Outside the World...?"

Takson stared at the empty doorway, his mind struggling to grasp the concept. He turned to Flamme. "Do you know what that means?"

"Do you really think I know?" Flamme sighed, her voice lacking its usual energy.

While Takson was still trying to find a loophole, Flamme had already accepted reality.

"You heard her, Takson-niichan," she said softly, standing up from the stool. "She doesn't want us to look for her."

Whether "Outside the World" was a real place or just a metaphor, the core message was unmistakable. Do not follow.

Takson's shoulders slumped. He knew Stell. In all the years they had traveled together, she had never lied. If she said the probability was zero, it was zero.

"I know what she meant," he muttered, his large hands clenching into fists. "But still..."

Flamme didn't offer any empty platitudes. She just walked over, patted his broad shoulder twice, and quietly slipped out of the room.

Takson stood alone in the pristine, empty bedroom, the morning sun casting long, lonely shadows across the floor.
