"What are you doing, meow?"
Seeing the boy beside her suddenly stop talking and start staring at the back of his hand, the little black cat curiously moved closer.
"Shh, don't talk. I'm finding help for you."
After explaining, Harry held his breath and focused his gaze on the back of his hand again.
A few seconds later, a line of silver-white characters slowly appeared.
I can get to you in five minutes. Stay put and don't move around.
Seeing this line, Harry finally breathed a sigh of relief, his face showing a smile again.
"Alright! Wait five minutes, and the help I found will be able to come!"
"Professor Kahn will definitely be able to help you rescue those cats!"
"Help?" Hearing this, the little black cat's expression became somewhat delighted, but after carefully analysing the boy's words, the joy gradually sank back down.
"Just one person?"
There were more than ten dark wizards in those houses. With so many people, even if each person cast just one spell, it would be enough to kill that one person, right?
"Professor Kahn isn't an ordinary wizard. He's the most capable person I've seen besides Dumbledore!" Harry explained.
"No matter how capable, he's still just one person. How could one person possibly beat more than ten people?" The little black cat's tone still showed some disbelief.
However, finding even one person was good. As long as it was an adult wizard, there would be a way to contact that Ministry of Magic or whatever.
It had heard from some magical creatures that the wizards' Ministry of Magic was an organisation that maintained order in the wizarding world, and they had many people who should be able to punish those dark wizards.
But that would probably take a long time, and during this time, those dark wizards would probably kill many more of its subjects.
"Why won't you believe me?"
Hearing the little black cat's unconvinced tone, Harry planned to tell it about Professor Kahn's glorious achievements.
But just then, he suddenly heard a cold voice coming from behind him.
The voice spoke English, but it wasn't a British accent. It sounded more like American.
"Didn't expect to find an unexpected bonus just from going out to take a piss?"
Sharply turning his head, Harry saw a man with sharp, monkey-like features. He held a wand in his hand and was looking excitedly at him and the little black cat beside him.
"It really is a Cait Sith. Looks like the boss's judgement was right after all. Little guy, you probably don't know how much you're worth on the black market, do you?"
"And a wizard boy too. Tsk tsk tsk, those perverts in Italy love this kind of merchandise!"
Having said this, the man twirled the dagger in his other hand. Seeming to think of something pleasant, his expression became somewhat disturbing.
Ignoring the expression on the man's face, Harry slowly backed away, analysing the current situation.
Perhaps his previous experience facing Voldemort had given Harry some growth. Even in this situation, he could still think relatively calmly.
This was Muggle territory. The dark wizard shouldn't dare use very powerful magic, or it might attract the Ministry's attention.
Although he definitely couldn't beat this dark wizard, Professor Kahn could arrive in five minutes, and adding the time he'd spent arguing with the little black cat, it should only be four minutes now.
He just needed to buy enough time.
Having finished his analysis, his legs, which had been stiff from fear, regained feeling. Harry exchanged a glance with the little black cat beside him, and man and cat simultaneously darted out, running in two different directions.
But he had clearly underestimated the magical level of an international poacher.
"Run? Think you can get away?"
Grinning with an exaggerated smile, the man didn't recite any incantation but simply waved his wand casually. The nearby flowers and grass transformed into ropes that directly bound Harry in place.
But just as he shifted his target to aim at the little black cat, he discovered that the black cat had somehow disappeared without a trace.
Interesting.
A mocking smile curved his lips as the man spoke slowly.
"Did you think we wouldn't be prepared for your invisibility ability?"
Saying this, he drew three vertical lines in the air with his wand and recited:
"Tempestas Arena".
Yellowish sand and dust spread outward from the man as the centre, quickly enveloping everything around them completely. Without needing to look carefully, the man immediately spotted that strange cat-shaped blank space near the boy.
From its appearance, it seemed to be trying to untie the ropes on the boy?
"Quite loyal, actually daring to come back and save your teammate?"
The man waved his wand again, and several fallen stone bricks nearby transformed into an exquisite iron cage, trapping the little black cat inside.
Having done all this, the sharp-faced man's expression became extremely excited. As if thinking of something, he looked at the little black cat that had revealed itself in the cage and was constantly struggling, muttering to himself.
"A Cait Sith... a magical creature already declared extinct. If all the money from selling it went to me... hahahaha!"
Fantasising about that scene, the man couldn't help but tremble all over. It took a while before he gradually regained his composure.
As rationality flooded back into his mind, the man's expression became somewhat hesitant.
If he secretly took this boy and the Cait Sith and slipped away to find somewhere to sell them, the money he got would be enough to last him several lifetimes.
But doing so would very likely anger that boss, and then he might have to face pursuit from that group of people.
Just thinking about that group's identity made the man shiver involuntarily, and that bit of greed in his heart immediately vanished into thin air.
Forget it, he'd better honestly take them back.
However, since this Cait Sith and the boy were both caught by him, he could get a bigger share when the money was divided.
A creature already declared extinct. If they encountered one of those wealthy pure-blood collectors with more money than sense, selling it for hundreds of thousands of Galleons wouldn't be a problem! And he could get at least a hundred thousand!
That was a number he didn't even dare dream of!
"I'm rich, I'm rich!"
Thinking this, the man raised his wand, planning to use their internal communication magic to notify several teammates not far away.
The Cait Sith had already been found. No need to keep guarding those houses and those corpses.
Feeling his body tightly bound and watching the man raise his wand as if about to send some signal, Harry felt very anxious.
Professor Kahn should arrive soon. He couldn't let this man have a chance to contact his teammates.
Thinking this, Harry gritted his teeth, inched forward two steps, and raised his head to bite the man's calf.
"Hiss!"
The pain from his calf interrupted the man's spellcasting motion. He kicked away Harry, who was biting his leg, a trace of coldness flashing in his eyes.
"Boy, you don't seem very well-behaved."
Coldly staring at this boy who was still trying to resist even when tied up like this, the man drew his wand, preparing to put this boy to sleep.
He didn't notice at all that the boy's face had suddenly shown a delighted expression.
"Stupefy."
A red light flashed before the man's eyes, but he suddenly froze.
He hadn't spoken yet, had he? How had the incantation been recited by itself?
Wait, this didn't seem to be his... voice...
Thud.
The man's body slowly fell down, breathing the dust on the ground evenly as he fell into peaceful sleep.
