Mana Fluid

🌌💧 Mana Fluid — The Forbidden Elixir of Flamekind

Name: Mana Fluid

Also Known As: Starblood, Ember Nectar, the Breath of Flame

🧪 Description & Origin

Mana Fluid is a naturally-occurring, glowing liquid of pure magical essence — not crafted, summoned, or refined, but secreted from the roots of the world in places where magic pools and ages for eons.

It is thick, almost syrup-like, and comes in colors ranging from deep violet to glowing blue-white, often surrounded by floating embers or soft crackling lights. It emits low magical hums, almost like a heartbeat, and seems alive when near dragons with strong inner flames.

This sacred fluid cannot be artificially made. It only forms in rare, ancient magical hotspots — places of cataclysmic or divine history, like the ruins of Sahr'gal'eth.

🌋 Connection to Sahr'gal'eth

Deep within the lower sanctum of Sahr'gal'eth, near the relic that seeded Khazirax's life, lies a sealed chamber called the Heartwell Cistern, a sacred basin of untouched Mana Fluid.

The same day Volkarros consumed the living ember, he also passed through the misty chamber where Mana Fluid steamed and pulsed in ancient troughs.

He did not drink it — but simply being so near it, combined with the relic he consumed, may have been what triggered the impossible birth of Khazirax.

It is said:

"To stand in the presence of Mana Fluid with a soul unanchored is to become a vessel for gods… or monsters."

⚠️ Forbidden for the Unborn & Hatchlings

Mana Fluid is not allowed to be consumed by:

🐣 Dragons carrying unborn young

🐉 Hatchlings or very young dragons

Why?

Because Mana Fluid violently accelerates magical development. It doesn't "teach" magic — it overloads it.

For an unborn dragon, it supercharges the embryonic soul, potentially creating:

Unstable mutations

Uncontrolled powers

Lifelong pain from internal mana storms

In rare cases: magical implosion from within the egg

For hatchlings, even a sip could result in:

Explosive outbursts of fire, lightning, or psychic power

Brain and nerve damage from uncontrolled elemental surges

Sudden magical aging or soul-warping effects

Mana Fluid is only permitted to be used by:

Dragons who have completed their first cycle of growth (young adult stage or older)

Masters of magic with inner discipline strong enough to bind the raw energy

💥 Effects on Adult Dragons

For grown dragons, Mana Fluid is incredibly potent, providing:

Massive boosts in magical reserves

Enhanced control over elemental fusion

Temporary access to ancestral memories or spiritfire

Awakening of dormant abilities

Its effects are not permanent unless consumed regularly, but even one sip can amplify a flame-user's fire by tenfold — making it one of the most closely-guarded magical resources in the world.

🧬 The Sacred Laws of Flamekind:

1. "Let no hatchling drink the Breath of Flame."

2. "Let no bearer approach while the spark inside them stirs."

3. "Let the Heartwell be guarded until the end of cinder-time."

These rules are enforced by all major dragon factions — even rivals — and violation is punishable by exile or death.
