Chapter 52 - Chapter 52 Sorting Ceremony

Agarth paused for a moment upon hearing the name, though he had been lying to others—ugh.

They used this fake name to fool people, but what are they doing now?! They're at Sorting Ceremony! Why are they still using such a fake name and not revealing their real name?

Seeing Agarth's stunned expression, Professor McGonagall called out Agarth's pseudonym again, "Agarth Ward Lindgel."

Agarth glanced at Dumbledore, who was raising his golden cup and winking at him, then at Gellert beside him, who was glaring at Agarth with a sullen expression.

Suddenly he grinned.

'Heh heh, serves you right for stabbing me in the back and getting Albus to confiscate my stuff. You got your comeuppance, didn't you?'

'You're not even allowed to show your name, how pathetic, you don't even have a proper title, hehe.'

Agarth's smile grew even brighter, while Grindelwald's expression grew increasingly grim.

Agarth wiped the gloating smile from his face, hopped and skipped to sit down in the chair, where Professor McGonagall, who had been waiting for a long time, placed the Sorting Hat on Agarth's head with a dark expression.

No need for Sorting Ceremony, Gryffindor, she already guessed it.

Wearing this sort hat or not makes no difference.

The dusty, dirty Sorting Hat, with several patches on it, had barely touched Agarth's forehead when it started chatting with him.

"Hmm~ Dumbledore's bloodline, little guy, you can't use the Cleansing Charm on me. Godric Gryffindor never even considered using that spell on me."

"But you're really dirty," Agarth said, frowning as he lowered his restless hand.

"Oh, let's get back to Sorting Ceremony." Sorting Hat changed the subject, 'this kid's mind was always full of explosive things.'

"Let me think... Oh? The Grindelwald bloodline... Have the wizards discovered the secret to enabling two men to have a child?"

The professors at the staff table, all with powerful magic and sharp ears, except for the gaunt professor in black robes who continued to watch Agarth without changing his expression.

The other professors choked on their saliva.

The group silently turned their attention to the Headmaster, who was sitting in the center.

The headmaster, with his strong sense of self, simply touched the ring on his hand, pretending not to hear. However, hidden under the table, he stomped hard on the person next to him.

What exactly did this person talk about with Sorting Hat while he wasn't in the headmaster's office?

Meanwhile, Grindelwald ignored the pain in his foot, picked up a glass of wine from the table, took a sip, and lightly patted the headmaster, who was pretending to be calm, with his left hand.

Professor McGonagall grabbed the tip of Sorting Hat and threatened, "Mr. Sorting Hat, this is Sorting Ceremony!"

"Hufflepuff! Hufflepuff! Hufflepuff!" Agarth muttered tirelessly ever since he put on the hat.

"I'm sorry, my child, this isn't up to you. Well then, let me take a closer look at you."

Sorting Hat ignored Agarth's prayers. As its voice fell, Agarth's memories were as if being rummaged through, and he could only muster his strength to expel the force from his mind.

Some memories are not for everyone to see.

However, in the brief moment Agarth was distracted, Sorting Hat still caught a glimpse of something.

"Alright, alright, it's a dagger, oh Merlin! Slytherin! Slytherin!"

Sorting Hat ignored Dumbledore's request a few days earlier to sort the child into Gryffindor.

Because this child should be a Slytherin.

Pure bloodline, and the willingness to use any means to achieve one's goals.

Upon hearing the results of Sorting Ceremony, Grindelwald curled the corners of his lips. He knew better than anyone which house was more suitable for the child he had raised.

Agarth does not belong to Gryffindor.

The students at the Slytherin table fell silent.

No one applauded in welcome.

What surprised them even more than seeing Agarth, who looked exactly like Dumbledore, was that he had been sorted into Slytherin.

The Slytherins, always prone to conspiracy theories, wondered if this student being assigned to their House was another of Dumbledore's schemes.

Everyone looked toward their Head House—Professor Snape.

So what was Head House thinking? After all, Gryffindor and Slytherin have always been at odds, and Dumbledore has always been very protective and caring towards Gryffindor students.

Professor Snape raised his arm slightly and clapped his hands perfunctorily, and the students who saw their Head House make a statement also applauded in welcome.

Given the current uncertainty, they do not want to offend someone who is suspected to be of Dumbledore's blood.

Agarth removed the Sorting Hat from his head, carefully folded and straightened it with some effort, and respectfully handed it to Professor McGonagall.

'Damn it, I already said I want to go to Hufflepuff.'

Sorting Hat, whose body had been "fixed" by Agarth's great force, said in a trembling voice to Professor McGonagall, who was holding him, "Minerva, this kid belongs to Slytherin, and he won't admit it."

Agarth straightened his non-existent folds of clothing, smiled at the students who were watching him, and then sat down at the Slytherin table.

Meanwhile, the twins and Rolf, upon hearing the results of the Sorting Ceremony, swallowed hard and exchanged glances.

What exactly is Agarth's connection to Slytherin?

However, no matter how much they doubted Agarth's Sorting Ceremony results, it was to no avail.

"Rolf Scamander!"

"Hufflepuff!" As expected, in Badgeryard.

"George Weasley!"

"Gryffindor, the red-haired boy of the Weasleys!"

"Fred Weasley!"

"Oh! Another Weasley! Gryffindor!"

As the Sorting Ceremony for the last freshman came to an end, amidst resounding applause in the Great Hall, Professor Dumbledore gently picked up a spoon and tapped it against the cup wall beside him.

"Good evening, everyone! Before the banquet begins, I would like to introduce you to Mr. Theros Rozier, the new assistant to Hospital Wing Madam Pomfrey."

Professor Dumbledore pointed to Grindelwald beside him.

Grindelwald stood up, nodded slightly to the crowd in the auditorium, and sat down again, to which the students below applauded in welcome.

Although they didn't know why Hospital Wing had an extra assistant, Madam Pomfrey was indeed too fierce at times, and they hoped this gentleman could be gentler.

"Welcome to the new school, new students, welcome back, returning students! Finally, I'd like to say, Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!"

As soon as Professor Dumbledore finished speaking, all sorts of food suddenly appeared on the empty table. Agarth looked at the food that had appeared on the table.

After thinking for a moment, he gently tapped the plate and said, "If I may, I would like a bowl of Chinese noodles."

The plate remained unmoved.

"How about Tonkatsu?"

Cassius Warrington glanced at Agarth's actions and his mouth moved, "Annoying half-breed."
