Chapter 1 - One Hit Wonder

Guys Just before we get into this book, this is a one shot, so I won't be making more chapters of this book cause I'll be focused on Rebal Academy (You should go read it after this).

Chapter 1: One Chapter, One Hero, One Heart

---

The sun had begun to rise over Musutafu. Light spilled across the city like a quiet promise—warm, fragile, and new. Hospitals hummed softly with life. Streets that once echoed with chaos now whispered with the footsteps of those rebuilding.

And on top of a quiet rooftop overlooking the recovering skyline stood Midoriya Izuku.

His hero costume was different now—less armor, more cloth. Less about power, more about purpose. Green eyes traced the horizon, and a soft breeze tugged at the scarf he'd once received from Gran Torino. The war was over. But the healing was just beginning.

Behind him, a few familiar faces stepped forward.

Iida, walking without the aid of supports. Uraraka, holding a small bouquet. Todoroki, scarred but whole. They stood together in silence, listening.

Because today, Deku had something to say.

He turned slowly, voice quiet—but carrying the weight of everything they'd endured.

---

> "There was a time I thought being Number One was everything. A symbol. A goal. An answer."

He looked down at his hands. Scarred. Worn. Steady.

---

> "But after the war… after Shigaraki, after All For One, after losing and gaining and losing again—I realized something."

---

He looked at his friends. No—his family. Then he looked past them, as if speaking to every soul across Japan.

---

> "Being a hero isn't about being the strongest. Or being the fastest. Or even being the bravest."

> "It's about showing up. Just once. Just when it matters. Just when someone needs you most."

> "You don't need 100 victories. You need one. One moment. One hit. One chance to change everything."

---

Tears rimmed Uraraka's eyes. Iida's jaw tightened. Todoroki, quietly, closed his fist.

---

> "We all fought. We all bled. And none of us did it alone. Even if I'm not the Number One hero on the charts... I know I'm one of many."

> "Because today, we don't need just a Symbol of Peace."

> "We need a world where all heroes stand together. Different names. Different quirks. Same mission."

> "Not Number Ones…"

> "Just One."

---

Silence followed his words. Not heavy—but full. Full of memory, of pain, of hope.

From below, the city began to stir—heroes stepping out into the light, no longer as idols above, but guardians beside.

Children watched them. Survivors welcomed them. And for the first time in decades… people smiled not just because they were saved—but because they believed again.

---

Back on the roof, Midoriya smiled too.

One hit.

One moment.

One heart.
