Chapter 35 - CHAPTER 35

"The same as last time?"

Many of the Marine admirals present were taken aback, clearly confused.

Only some of the older, more seasoned Marine admirals, along with Tsuru and others, had their expressions instantly shift uncomfortably.

They clearly understood what this statement alluded to.

Sengoku's face darkened, and he clenched the Den Den Mushi in his hand several times before snorting coldly, "Hmph, Garp, what are you talking about? You've all seen the Den Den Mushi footage."

"This matter was instigated by CP0 and has nothing to do with Luo Yu."

"Luo Yu didn't attack the Celestial Dragons. It was simply that CP0's skills were lacking, and they couldn't even protect the Celestial Dragons."

"The only ones to blame are the CP0's mediocre strength."

The Marine present looked at each other, the difference in Sengoku's reaction was too great.

Did this mean the Celestial Dragons really got beaten up for nothing?

"Haha, Sengoku, I knew you'd do this. Those Celestial Dragon trash, so what if they got beaten? No big deal. I'll go tell Luo Yu the good news." Garp laughed, patting Sengoku on the shoulder.

"Good news?" Sengoku immediately slapped Garp's hand away, glaring. "I really suspect that Luo Yu only became so unreliable after meeting you."

"I'll handle the Celestial Dragon attack. Let Luo Yu stay away from the Red Line for a while, and he can come back when things have calmed down."

"There happens to be a mission here. Let that kid run it. As for the task of escorting Crocodile, you can take over."

"Garp, I'm warning you, don't screw up for me at a time like this. Hurry up and go."

"Let Luo Yu go on that mission?" Garp couldn't help but be stunned.

He was, of course, well aware of the topic they'd just discussed.

This was the most serious situation the seas had seen in six years, ever since Red Hair became one of the Four Emperors.

Even the admiral candidate who was originally in charge of this matter couldn't handle it.

Finally, the matter was reported to Marine Headquarters, requesting that an admiral take the initiative to monitor the situation and quickly clarify what was happening.

It was just that Garp never expected that this hot potato would fall to Luo Yu.

"What's wrong, Garp? Do you think the old man's decision isn't generous enough? Why are you still standing there and not moving!" Sengoku looked at Garp, who was still standing in place, and roared again.

"Cough, cough, Sengoku, of course I have no objections." Garp coughed and said, "However, you also know that little brat's way of doing things."

"This mission is so difficult; without some incentives, I think it'll be hard to persuade him!"

"Performance Bonus?" Sengoku's expression completely lost control, his right hand crushing the armrest of his chair. He roared hysterically.

"That guy hit a Celestial Dragon and still wants a performance Bonus? Get out of here!"

...

One day later, the news of what happened at the Gate of Justice spread.

The entire Red Line, and even at the four seas, completely exploded.

The privileges the Celestial Dragons possessed were known throughout the sea.

Yet, they were beaten up on the Red Line.

The one who did it was the new Marine Admiral, Taotie Luo Yu.

If they hadn't seen the tragic front-page headline in the newspaper,

hardly anyone would have believed it.

"Sister, what are you thinking? Aren't we supposed to go to Marine Headquarters to protest? Marine Admiral Taotie Luo Yu dared to attack us, the Shichibukai, in front of everyone! This is a blatant violation of the Shichibukai treaty we signed with the World Government. We can't just swallow this!" Marigold slammed her Naginata onto the deck, her voice filled with anger.

Sandersonia, standing beside her, remained silent. After a moment of hesitation, she said, "I have a feeling we might have misunderstood something."

"Misunderstood?" Marigold glared at her. "Sister Sandersonia, what's there to misunderstand? He clearly attacked us! If it weren't for Sister's outstanding strength, we might have really ended up drinking with those filthy Celestial Dragons. Have you forgotten what we went through all those years, Sister Sandersonia?"

Sandersonia fell silent, unable to respond.

She still vividly remembered what had happened yesterday.

However, looking at the newspaper's front page, she felt something didn't quite add up.

"You idiot! You've been with me for so long, and you still can't figure this out!" A frail voice suddenly rang out.

A wooden cane slammed directly onto Marigold's head.

Seeing Elder Nyon, who was standing on the deck and leaning on a cane, Marigold clutched the back of her head and said urgently, "Granny, what are you talking about? That Marine admiral attacked us for no reason yesterday. Of course, we can't just swallow this!"

"Look at Sister, she's been unhappy all day and hasn't said a word."

"Say?, say what!" Elder Nyon leaped up again, smacked Marigold on the head, and glared.

"Are you trying to destroy our Amazon Lily, and the peace we've had these past few years?"

"Don't forget, if that kid hadn't interfered yesterday, the ones on the front page for attacking the Celestial Dragons would have been you."

"By then, not only the Shichibukai title, but even Amazon Lily might be annihilated by the Marines."

"If you really want to get down to it, that little brat saved the Kuja Pirates. He even blasted a Celestial Dragon away. Who here dares to lay a hand on him?"

"Back in our day, you'd offer yourself in return for a favor!"

Offer yourself?

Marigold was stunned.

No!

You could say that even Sandersonia and the other Kuja warrior women aboard the ship were no exception.

Thinking back to everything that happened yesterday.

The problems they hadn't quite sorted out instantly became clear.

Especially when looking at the front page of the newspaper in his hand, which occupied the entire space.

If it were ordinary people, who would dare to provoke the Celestial Dragons?

And to beat the Celestial Dragons until they looked like pig heads.

There's probably only one person who could do that!

"Act..actually, I think if he hadn't helped us, he probably wouldn't have treated the Celestial Dragons like that," Sandersonia said through gritted teeth.

"Although, I don't know why he did it, but he dared to beat up the Celestial Dragons, I will never forget this kindness."

"Elder Nyon is right, Sister, we shouldn't complain about that guy."

"Now that the Celestial Dragons have been attacked, it's even on the front page of the World Economic Journal. Those world nobles will definitely spare no effort to complain about that guy. If we also hold a grudge, it would be a bit like biting the hand that feeds us, wouldn't it?"
