Chapter 39 - Chapter 37: Expanding Horizons

Hello and good morning my favorite readers! Here's a new chapter. It's a bit of a stretch but it all fits into comic book logic. Let me know if you have any better ideas on how to do what is shown in the below chapter. I'd like to thank Meet_Dutta, ASURA69s, Ben_Olds, Sabine_Bailey, Jandher, Alconperez_15, and Denise_Meister. Enjoy the following chapter.

Returning home, Tony wasted no time in testing his new abilities. He could feel the change in his mind—a qualitative leap beyond what he had before. Where his intellect was once like a supercomputer, now it functioned like a quantum processor, processing vast amounts of data simultaneously with seemingly no limit. The fusion of Sage's computer-like brain with the enhancement from NZT created something entirely new.

But with greater power came greater burdens. He could hear the thoughts of countless minds, overwhelming his senses like an ocean crashing against fragile barriers. He teleported to Antarctica, away from human civilization, where he could focus and bring his mind under control. Sitting atop a vast ice shelf, he meditated, practicing the techniques Exodus and Jean had taught him. Hours passed, then days. Slowly, he mastered the flood of voices, reigning in his telepathic abilities to a razor's edge, just like Jean had.

When he returned, it was time for his next test—multiplication. With a thought, he summoned his first duplicate. Then another. And another. Within moments, a dozen versions of himself stood before him, each awaiting orders. No more delegation—he was his own workforce now.

Each duplicate had a purpose. One would oversee the Fortress of Science. Another would work on his personal projects, while a third would focus on Krakoa. A fourth trained under Shifu Luo Feng, honing his martial arts to the pinnacle of human ability. A fifth clone spent time at the Stark Estate, maintaining bonds with his family, Jean, and Storm. Another devoted itself to researching ways to make NZT permanent.

Then there was the more dangerous project—a team assigned to developing the T-Virus enhancement serum. Tony suspected his psychic abilities could still be pushed further, and this was the key. The cloned versions of himself worked in harmony, executing plans at an accelerated rate.

But his ambitions didn't stop there.

"I've decided," he said aloud to no one in particular. "We're terraforming Mars. Properly.

Sage, now his executive assistant/genius tactician/little sister by adoption, peered over his shoulder. "Why? We already have Krakoa."

Tony gave her a look. "Because, dear sister, Krakoa is an island. Mars is a planet. A whole planet! And besides—meta-humans, baseline humans and other races of Earth deserve another world. Something grand. A homeland to inspire fear and awe. Like Earth, but red and angrier."

He tapped a blinking glyph. "Nexus, call Magneto."

Nexus's voice replied dryly, "I believe he prefers formal diplomatic invitations these days, Master Stark."

Tony scoffed. "I'm twelve years old, Nexus. I don't do formal."

Hours later, a vortex of electromagnetic energy exploded into the room—because when you summon Magneto, he enters. The Master of Magnetism hovered in, arms crossed, cloak fluttering in a wind that didn't exist.

"You summoned me," Magneto intoned, regal as ever.

Tony beamed. "Yes! I have a job for you."

Magneto raised an eyebrow. "A job?"

"Yep," Tony said. "We're going to terraform Mars."

Magneto blinked. "Terraform? Mars? You and I?"

Tony grinned. "Well, mostly you. I'm just the charming genius who tells you what to do and makes sure the seed doesn't explode."

Magneto stared at him for a long, tense moment. "I'm powerful, boy. But I'm not that powerful. I cannot reignite a planetary core or alter gravity—"

Tony held up a finger. "Incorrect. You can, but you believe you can't. That's the problem. Omega-level doesn't mean 'maximum,' it means no defined limit. Your problem, Erik, is that you think like a mortal man instead of a God."

"I am a man."

Tony tapped his temple. "Ah, but I am not. I am an Omega level psionicisist with infinite ambition and a Life Seed that's basically Celestial cheat code. All I need from you… is a little cosmic-scale metalwork."

Magneto narrowed his eyes. "Explain."

Tony summoned a holographic schematic. "The Martian core is inert. No magnetosphere, no gravity adjustment, no breathable atmosphere. We fix that by jumpstarting the core using iron and nickel—the same materials it was originally composed of and a Celestial Lifeseed. And guess what? The Martian soil is filled with oxidized iron. You will be able to control it and open a rift to the core. Your power is literally planetary in scope here."

Magneto didn't answer immediately. Then, in a voice low and grave, he said, "You're suggesting I compress planetary-scale metal into Mars's core to increase its density… to increase its magnetic field?"

Tony smiled brightly. "Exactly! And then, I chuck in this." He held up a small crystalline object—the Life Seed, glowing with raw cosmic potential. "This'll jumpstart life, the core, transform the atmosphere, and do whatever else Celestial terraform-magic nonsense does. I still don't know how it works, and frankly, I think that's the point. It's science by way of space-wizardry."

He paused, then added, "Celestial Bullshit Terraforming Seed™. Trademark pending."

Magneto exhaled slowly. "Very well. I'll try. But only because the idea of giving mutants their own world appeals to me."

Tony held up a fist. "For the future!"

Magneto blinked. "... You're lucky I like you."

Mars Orbit, Later That Day

Tony and Magneto arrived in orbit above Mars, both clad in sleek, multi-spectrum adaptive armor suits. Designed by Tony, obviously. His suit glowed with ambient energy, while Magneto's was black and silver.

Tony grinned. "Now, Erik. You're going to feel… slightly different. Don't panic."

With a twitch of his fingers, Tony activated a psychic perception shift, subtly adjusting Magneto's own self-image to that of an all-powerful god using a carefully crafted psychic overlay. To Magneto, it felt like something fundamental unlocked in his mind.

"I… feel… everything," Magneto said slowly, his eyes glowing white. "The planetary crust… the iron dust in the soil… the asteroids…"

"Exactly," Tony said, popping a piece of candy into his mouth. "You can control it. So do it. Drill to the core. Fill it. Compress it."

Magneto raised his hands. Dozens of iron-rich asteroids began to shift course, spiraling toward Mars at controlled speeds. A great rift split open on the Martian surface, revealing the long-dead heart of the planet. The floating metals, molten and seething, melted mid-air as Magneto manipulated their molecular structure, plunging them into the core and fusing them with electromagnetic compression.

"Add more mass," Tony advised, eyes glowing as he monitored gravity readings. "You need to raise the planetary gravity by 2.631 times. Don't overshoot or we'll eventually end up with Mars the Planetary Black Hole."

Magneto's concentration deepened. Sweat poured down his face inside the suit. He pulled asteroid after asteroid, liquefying and compacting them into the core. The red planet trembled, as the newborn gravity well began to shimmer to life.

"Core density at 100% baseline. Magnetic field regeneration… successful," Tony said. "Well, hot damn, Magneto, you absolute beast."

Magneto started to bleed from his eyes as the overconsumption of power got to him. Tony then turned off the God perception filter he put on Magneto.

Magneto staggered slightly but recovered. "It… is not done. The atmosphere…"

Tony threw the Life Seed into the closing rift.

The moment the seed touched Mars's core, it burst into radiant golden light, releasing shockwaves of life-energy across the planet. Air thickened. Water condensed. Lichen and mosses erupted. The red became green, and Mars bloomed.

Tony laughed, spinning around in the new gravity. "It's working! It's actually working!"

Within hours, the terraforming had transformed the once-dead world. Clouds formed, and life—not just bacteria, but some small plants—emerged from the dust.

Hours Later, on the Martian Surface

Tony and Magneto stood on a cliff overlooking a vast valley filled with green moss.

Magneto's voice was reverent. "We did it."

Tony nodded. "Yup. Welcome to Mars. Our new world."

Magneto crossed his arms. "And what now?"

Tony leaned back, hands behind his head. "Now we wait for the new atmosphere to settle and head back to Earth."

After they went back to Earth, there was another project to begin—the Savage Land.

Using his encyclopedic knowledge of Marvel's world, Tony teleported to the coordinates 69º 30' S, 68º 30' W of the hidden prehistoric paradise. Nestled in the Antarctic ice, the Savage Land was a land out of time, where dinosaurs roamed and ancient civilizations thrived. But its potential was wasted.

The first step was establishing a foothold. He teleported to the base of the Palmer Peninsula, where he planned to build two settlements. One at the coast, designed to be a technological marvel, complete with a large dock, spaceport and a future space elevator. It would be the largest port in the world, drawing in nations with promises of interstellar trade.

The second settlement would be at the entrance to Subterranea, home to the vast underground caverns beneath the Earth. It would serve as a hub for research and expansion into the mysterious depths.

But there was a problem—the temperature.

Antarctica's freezing climate threatened to undo his work before it even began. But he had a solution. Teleporting to the heart of the Savage Land, he found the Environmental Control Equipment left behind by the Nuwali, the alien race that had created this hidden paradise. Using his technopathic abilities, he scanned the devices, absorbing their secrets. With this knowledge, he replicated them, placing one at the coastal settlement and another at Krakoa to regulate the climate; he then asked Krakoa to start moving to the Palmer Peninsula.

The results were immediate. The frigid winds calmed, and the temperature stabilized into a livable climate. Now, he could begin construction.

But manpower was an issue.

The Savage Land's native tribes hunted dinosaurs for survival, a practice that was unsustainable. Tony planned to introduce advanced agriculture, allowing them to cultivate Krakoan flowers—an economic goldmine. But he needed builders, workers who could handle the monumental task of constructing his vision.

He knew just the ones for the job—the Moloids.

Subterranea's inhabitants, the Moloids, were master tunnelers and builders. They had constructed the High Evolutionary's Citadel of Science, and with the right incentives, they could do the same for him. But their leader, the Mole Man, would need convincing.

Gathering a small team, Tony prepared for the next step—an expedition into the depths of the Earth.

The Savage Land was just the beginning.
