Chapter 9 - 9

The birds flew freely in the sky, even though it was raining quite heavily. Violet was bored; she frowned and began to cry. She thought that living in this strange world was better than staying with Aunt Anneth. She also missed Uncle Jack. Was her uncle looking for her now?

The relentless rain prompts Violet to close her bedroom window. With a heavy heart, she walks toward the bed, gazing at the rumpled sheets and disheveled blankets. Earlier, she had sent Tere and Rona home with their father, and now she regrets it because her room is in complete disarray.

Seeing the distress in Violet's heart, Wine, who had been lying on the desk, jumped down and circled her master's feet. Wine's wet gaze and cute voice hypnotized Violet. She followed Wine's steps, leading her out of the room and toward the dormitory's backyard, filled with carnations.

The raindrops hitting her head brought Violet back to her senses. She was surprised, but didn't think much of it and instead knelt down to stroke Wine's head while thanking her. Wine, feeling her task was done, returned inside because she disliked the rain, while Violet stepped further into the center and let the rain soak her.

"I want to live happily here," Violet said softly with her eyes closed.

However, when she felt the rain no longer soaking her, though her ears still heard the sound of the rain, Violet quickly opened her eyes. Prince Roger was standing before her, and it made Violet almost unable to resist hugging the handsome man.

"Your Highness, Prince?" she asked in surprise.

Prince Roger immediately embraced Violet, and the cloud that had been protecting the prince from the rain was quickly dispelled. "I missed you, Violet," he said.

Violet nodded slowly, and her emotions could no longer be controlled. Warmth, joy, and sadness all mixed together, and she began to cry. Then, Prince Roger opened a portal and brought Violet inside with him. Following Miranda's suggestion didn't seem so bad after all.

"Prince, this..." Violet was speechless as the portal closed, the room was so magnificent. Violet's eyes, which had been scanning the room, stopped at a sight that stirred her desires.

Prince Roger opened his expensive cloak, removing his dark navy vest, leaving only his white shirt and long pants.

"Violet, I will take responsibility. I have fallen for you completely, and I cannot let Edgar have you."

Violet had barely opened her mouth; she hadn't uttered a single word, but her lips were already silenced by Roger's demanding, passionate kiss.

The next day, before the sun had fully risen, Equestria Academy was shaken by assassins searching every corridor of the academy. Violet's disappearance drove Edgar mad, and the academy would have been swept away by a whirlwind if Miranda hadn't sealed the boy's hands and feet.

While Zuar and the others searched for Violet, Miranda also sent people to visit Romaden's residence. Miranda did all this while listening to Edgar's curses.

"If you can't control your emotions, then the seal will not disappear," said Miranda.

Miranda left Edgar alone. The woman with her hair tied up in a high bun would soon send a bill to Novtiglass for the damage caused by their child. After Miranda disappeared from Edgar's sight, he began to try to neutralize his emotions.

He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, continuing until the emotions in his head no longer had control. Slowly, the seal binding his hands and feet loosened and vanished.

"Violet, where are you?" Edgar's voice was filled with despair. He desperately needed his fiancée.

Then, one of Edgar's hands rose to chest level, revealing a dark blue whirlwind with a bee inside. Edgar whispered, "Vres Violéta gia ména."

Meanwhile, the one they were searching for had just opened her eyes when the prince's servants did not open the window. The servants, consisting of four young girls, nearly screamed upon seeing a girl beside the prince. Fortunately, the prince silenced them with magic first. This was the first time the servants had seen a woman in the prince's room.

"Just bring the food here, and if the Queen asks, just tell her the truth," said Prince Roger.

"Yes, Your Highness," replied the servants in unison.

After the four servants left, Violet cleared her throat, and Prince Roger immediately turned to look at the girl. Violet's messy, unkempt brown hair and her body, covered only by a thick blanket, were a sight the prince always wanted to see every morning.

"Good morning, my queen," the prince said as he embraced Violet.

Yesterday, Violet couldn't stop sighing because of the prince's behavior. His vitality was undeniable. In her heart, Violet justified what she had done yesterday and, of course, she didn't regret it. In her opinion, before she was imprisoned by Edgar's marriage vows, it was better for her to seek her own happiness first. Besides, Violet would rather be touched by Prince Roger than Edgar.

At the dining table, Queen Kinda choked when one of the servants mentioned that there was a brown-haired girl in Prince Roger's room. The fair-skinned queen was deeply curious about the girl who had managed to captivate her son. She stood up and intended to approach her only child.

"Queen, just wait for Roger to come down and introduce the girl to us. Let him have some fun first," said King Raiden with a small smile.

"I'm really curious, Raiden. This is big news, should I announce to the whole country that our son already has a lover?"

King Raiden shook his head. "Don't overreact," he said.

Whether she liked it or not, the queen could only wait, even though her feet were itching to run to the prince's room. Finally, after they finished breakfast and King Raiden entered his study, Queen Kinda chose to sit quietly in the backyard, gazing at the expanse of red roses.

Soon, the fresh scent of mountain spring water mixed with the fragrance of violets made her turn her head quickly. Prince Roger and the girl the servant had mentioned earlier approached her, and this surprised the queen. The queen stood up from her seat and smiled broadly.

Violet bent one knee as she bowed respectfully to Queen Kinda, while Prince Roger watched his mother's expression. Queen Kinda possessed a rare ability; she could sense the good or bad energy within a person and could also detect various scents from them.

"Mother Queen, this is Violet de Romaden," Prince Roger introduced.

The queen smiled sweetly at Violet. Who didn't know Noah de Romaden's only child? The girl who always embarrassed her father with her crazy antics when Edgar refused to even walk with her. However, Queen Kinda sensed a very different energy.

"Are you sure this girl is Violet de Romaden?" asked the queen.

Violet raised an eyebrow—did the Queen know she wasn't from this world? Meanwhile, Prince Roger cleared his throat softly. "She's not a de Romaden, Mother," he said.

Violet's heart raced. Her mind raced—so the Prince had known all along? With trembling fear, she glanced at the Prince briefly before lowering her head again. Violet closed her eyes tightly and immediately knelt before Prince Roger and Queen Kinda.

Violet's hands clenched tightly on her thighs. She cried out of fear that the two of them would judge her or even kill her. "Forgive me, Your Majesty the Queen and Prince. Please don't punish me, don't kill me. Please!"

Queen Kinda couldn't believe Violet's words. How could she take someone's life so easily? It was unbelievable. Meanwhile, Prince Roger chuckled at Violet's irrational behavior.

With kindness, Queen Kinda gently pulled Violet's arm and softly asked the girl to stand up. "It's not that easy to take someone's life, Violet. So, if I may ask, what is your real name?"

"Violet Evanthe, Your Majesty," Violet replied.

Prince Roger gently stroked Violet's head. However, before his hand could wrap around her waist, the prince was thrown backward. Edgar arrived with a gust of wind that immediately disrupted the atmosphere. "I told you, Roger. Violet is mine!" Edgar barked with a booming voice.
