Next day
Harry woke up to see Hermione already dressed and ready for Hogwarts and Harry quickly got up and got ready for Hogwarts and then when we're both ready they ran downstairs with their suitcases packed to see Sarah standing there waiting for them
Sarah: did you eat breakfast?
Harry: no but
Sarah: no but I already dropped off Kylee to work and the train doesn't leave until 2 hrs from now so I'll put your guy's stuff in my car while you guys go eat
They nod handing their stuff to Sarah as Harry and Hermione walk to the kitchen as Sarah went out of the car to put their stuff in the trunk of her car and Harry and Hermione eat their breakfast together then after they were done they ran out of the door locking the door behind them as Sarah had their already in the trunk of her car and she's was ready to drive them to the train station early
Sarah was in the diver's seat and Harry and Hermione were in the backseat and Sarah backs up her car and drives off in the front seat next to Sarah was Hedwig
They get to the train station and Harry and Hermione unload their things from the car and Harry and Hermione take their things to the train station and they walk there as Sarah already drove off and they get on the Hogwarts train and put up their stuff in the compartment they choose to sit in and decided to sit by each other
Hermione: thank you for inviting me for the holiday Harry
Harry: it's no problem Mione
Hermione: well I hope you're sister doesn't mind I borrowed one of her books from the library
Harry: she barely uses that library so she won't mind as long you return it
Hermione: alright *smiles*
Harry: *chuckles* Mione maybe you should come next Christmas too
Hermione: I would love to Harry
Harry: oh I thought you would spend with your parents?
Hermione: uh Harry how about you come to spend time with me and my parents next Christmas
Harry: that would be amazing mione I would have to talk to my sister around Thanksgiving to see if it's okay
Hermione: I will do the same *giggles*

Then Ron enters the compartment they're in
Ron: blime me I finally found you guys
Hermione: hey Ron
Harry: so how was Egypt?
Ron: bloody hot even during Christmas
Hermione: sorry about the climate system Ron

Ron sits across from Harry and Hermione
Ron: so what did you do this Christmas?
Hermione: we went to an elegant party it was beautiful, especially the night sky

Harry: my sister told us all about soulmate stars which sounds weird, to be honest
Ron: why?
Hermione: because you have to be 18 or older to be paired but it's a rare thing if it's 18 and under
Ron: oh that does sound weird
Melody enters the train compartment
Melody sits next to Ron

Hermione: welcome back
Melody: I just met my soulmate during an elegant party in America
Hermione: ooo who was it?
Melody: his name is Darius Bowman and he's really cute so me and he have phone number to always call each other and plus I told you during summer I'm moving to America it's not because of a soulmate but it's my brother he found a stupid job so I won't be seeing you guys of 4th year I'll be 14 *sighs*
Hermione: that's a long way away to wait to transfer from one job to another
Melody: I know but I thought I'd tell ya just in case it's sooner than the 4th year
Harry: that's reasonable
Ron: blime melody will we ever see again?
Melody: maybe I don't know
The train starts moving to leave kingscross station
They talk some more about other things in their compartment

They finally made it back to Hogwarts and their stuff was already in dorm rooms as they are in the Gryffindor common room sitting

Harry: I actually don't know
Melody: well figure something out
Hermione: We sure will
Ron: And what will that be?
Melody: don't know to be we will figure it out
Ron: sounds fun I guess

Hermione: that isn't a good sign Harry
Ron: what does that mean?
Melody: hopefully nothing bad
Harry: I don't know I feel like it's a bad sign, to be honest
Melody: we go follow it to see where it leads
Harry: that would be great
Ron: oh no sorry mate I'm not wanting to get into trouble with the professors
Professor Brittany walks into the Gryffindor common room
Prof. Brittany: guys the Basilisk escaped the dungeons please be careful I barely got away from it *breathing in and out heavily* someone let out the Basilisk and I know you guys will figure it out
Hermione: who would release the Basilisk?
Ron: I don't know
Harry: who do you think did it?
Melody: this isn't good
Prof. Brittany: I don't know but don't look directly in its eyes or you'll die and if you have a mirror and look at the snake through it you'll be like the stone which is curable
Hermione: anything else?
Prof. Brittany: no sorry that's all I know cause we had a meeting about other things that included the Basilisk
Ron: you saw it? Did you look directly in the eyes?
Prof. Brittany: yes and no it was going somewhere else I have no idea where though you're the first house I decided to warn out of the others and then next I was going to Dumbledore and McGonagall but who knows they'll believe in me
Harry shrugs
Melody: try to tell them but be careful going there
Professor Brittany nods and runs out of the Gryffindor common room to go tell professor Dumbledore and professor McGonagall the news
Harry: so what is the plan how do we stop the Basilisk?
Hermione: I'll read up on it in the library
Melody: I'll come with you Hermione
Hermione nods
Harry: be careful please go to the library you too
Melody: we will promise
Hermione and Harry hug then they apart away from the hug as Hermione and melody walk out of the Gryffindor common room together leaving Ron and harry by themselves
Ron: do think they find anything?
Harry: let's hope they do but in the meantime let's go do something interesting in the boy's bedroom
Hermione and melody and Brittany come back to the Gryffindor common room and Ron and harry come running down the stairs to the boy's bedroom
Harry: so?
Both Ron and harry entered the Gryffindor common room
Prof. Brittany: I told professor Dumbledore and professor McGonagall they said they'll warn all the students tomorrow about it
Melody: that's good
Harry: what's a Basilisk?
Hermione: it's a Big Giant Snake that lived here
Prof. Brittany: yeah it still does which is scary, to be honest with you
Hermione and Harry and melody and Ron: but who would've released the creature?
Professor Brittany just shrugged
