~Kaida Orion POV~
I freeze, Father Moon Priest emerges from trees, Lantern held in hand. His silver robe glimmers.
I step back and bow. "Priest…"
He raises a hand. "Weaver anticipated your attack, this pillar resets the trap if broken by force."
I lower my sword. "But we need to stop him."
He studies me. "There is another way, speak the oath at this pillar....letting your bond replace his magic, It will drain its power."
I glance at Lupus, he nods. "She can do it."
The Priest kneels and draws runes in air, Light pulses from the pillar. I step before it with Lupus by my side.
Biat and priest speak in unison an ancient vow:
"By moon's reflection, by oath of heart,
By bride and alpha bound never to part,
We sever your roots, dark magic unmade,
Weaver's trick undone, his claim shall fade."
I feel warmth, power, and love flow through me, and I place both hands on the pillar and speak my soul:
"I am Kaida Orion, Bride of the Pack, bound in oath and blood to Alpha Lupus.
