Adrian's POV
After the incident with Atlas at the mall, I knew I needed to address the situation with my mother and Iris before our trip. When I informed them about Reynolds' behavior, Iris was absolutely livid. Since discovering his true nature, she'd become fiercely protective, determined to keep that man away from the children at all costs.
During our meeting, I also shared details about the surprise I was planning for Stella. Despite my mother and Iris's reassurances that Stella would love it, I couldn't shake my nervousness. This meant everything to me, and I wanted it to be perfect.
The week passed in a blur, and before I knew it, Saturday arrived. We left early for the countryside, heading to Stella's grandmother's house. Throughout the drive, Stella was bubbling with excitement, chattering animatedly about her childhood visits. Her joy was infectious, making the long journey feel shorter.
