Damon's POV
I slammed the door of the patrol car after loading the last of Sasha's luggage into the trunk. We were headed to the airport, and while Aurora beside me was thoroughly enjoying himself, I was teetering on the edge of a complete meltdown. In the back seat, Sasha wouldn't stop her incessant complaining.
"Damon, this is absolutely unacceptable!" she continued, shifting restlessly in her seat like a caged animal. Her constant movement was grating on my already frayed nerves.
Aurora caught my eye with a mischievous glint. "Miss, you might want to minimize your movement on that seat. We transported a fugitive in this car just last night who'd been hiding in the bushes for quite some time. Haven't had a chance to clean it yet. He was in a rather... unsavory condition."
I immediately recognized Aurora's improvisation and decided to play along. This could be entertaining.
"Wait, was this the car that transported Ramona?" I asked, inventing a name on the spot.
