Stella's POV
The week sailing along the coast with Adrian had been pure bliss. We explored charming coastal towns, discovered hidden fishing villages, and found secluded coves that felt like our own private paradise. We talked for hours, made passionate love, and laughed until our sides hurt—simply enjoying the freedom of being together without interruptions.
As we docked back in the city, a part of me ached to stay on that boat forever. The thought of returning to reality felt like waking from a beautiful dream. But I reminded myself this wasn't just a vacation—Adrian and I had a lifetime ahead to create countless more beautiful moments together.
Monday at work seemed unusually quiet. I hadn't seen any of the girls, which struck me as odd, but by lunchtime, they all appeared on my floor—Chloe and Iris included—bouncing with curiosity and bubbling with excitement.
"Darlings, your favorite newlywed has returned!" I called out jokingly as they approached.
