Stella's POV
After the whirlwind of stress from Atlas's birthday celebration, Iris insisted we escape to her beach house the following weekend. She was bubbling with excitement about diving into wedding preparations, her enthusiasm genuinely infectious.
That weekend, our entire entourage headed out – friends, household, and even our four-legged companions. I extended invitations to Joy and Vera, thinking a change of scenery would do wonders for their spirits. Their parents were visibly relieved to see them in high spirits after Joy's troubling week. Her mother confided in me that Joy had been battling nightmares and increasing anxiety.
Adrian, much to my surprise, couldn't contain his excitement about the beach wedding. He kept raving about the magnificence of Iris's house, but nothing prepared me for the reality. Iris's taste for luxury was evident in what could only be described as a beachfront mansion, not merely a house.
