Adrian's POV
I was finishing dinner with an important client when my phone vibrated with Atlas's message. My nephew hadn't contacted me in weeks – Iris had specifically told him not to – so something serious must have happened. When I opened his text, my blood ran cold:
"If you don't want to lose Stella, come back from your trip now."
My fingers trembled as I quickly found Atlas's contact and called him.
"Atlas, explain this message. Now." I demanded, skipping any pleasantries.
"Well hello to you too, uncle. I'm doing just fine, thanks for asking," Atlas replied with his trademark sarcasm.
"I'm not in the mood for games. Tell me what's happening."
"I ran into Aunt Stella at the shopping mall earlier. She's going to see some comedy film with a guy named Warren," Atlas explained, his voice deliberately casual. "Never met him before, but he's definitely good-looking and seemed pretty charming. Oh, and Stella? She looks absolutely stunning tonight."
