Stella's POV
I could barely contain my rage at Adrian's blatant deception. The audacity of that man! When Chloe called revealing his scheme—how he'd orchestrated her punishment and feigned illness to manipulate my emotions—I was ready to strangle him with my bare hands. But Chloe, ever the voice of reason, convinced me to handle this strategically.
He would regret crossing me. When he arrived to pick me up after work, I slid into the passenger seat in complete silence. The real confrontation would wait until we reached home.
"Stella, I know you know," he ventured cautiously, his voice tense. I maintained my icy silence. "Stella, please talk to me."
I finally spoke through clenched teeth, "At home, Adrian!"
