Stella's POV
What a nightmare. I stepped out of the restroom and walked straight into Adrian's father lurking in the hallway. His grip on my arm was firm and unwelcome. That disgusting man made my skin crawl, but I forced myself to stay composed before heading back to our table. Hazel was already shattered after learning that awful Isabella Clairemont was carrying Liam's child. We were here to support her, not pile on more drama.
"Everything alright, Stella? You were gone forever," Maya questioned the moment I slid into my seat. That petite girl never missed a thing.
"Yeah, just fine. Mom called," I fabricated to explain my extended absence.
"Oh Stella, I'm absolutely dying to meet your mother. West won't stop raving about her," Chloe chimed in with enthusiasm.
"We should definitely arrange something at my place," I suggested, forcing brightness into my voice. The girls immediately warmed to the idea.
