Hazel's POV
After Liam kissed me in my office and Owen discovered us, he vanished from my world for an entire week. The days blurred together in a haze of busy work, while he and Damian spent countless hours in client meetings outside the office.
Monday arrived with its familiar ritual. Fresh tulips adorned my desk alongside a handwritten note. Liam had sworn to send me flowers every week without fail, and he never broke that promise. Just like the chocolate cakes that mysteriously appeared during lunch breaks. A month had passed since our separation. Thirty days of aching emptiness and desperate yearning.
Damian assigned me a last-minute proposal that needed completion before tomorrow's client meeting. The office had emptied except for Damian in his corner office and Owen, who blew me a theatrical kiss while carrying his coffee mug back to his desk. Stella had already escaped for the evening.
