Chapter 18 - Uraaa~!

If the Shadow Clone Technique had boosted Naruto's combat power from 1000 to 2000...

Then the next jutsu would boost it past 3000 — easily.

That jutsu?

None other than his original timeline's signature move:

> "Multi Shadow Clone Technique!"

(Tajū Kage Bunshin no Jutsu)

Naruto's real body calmly threw a punch at his shadow clone.

The clone crossed its arms to guard — BOOM!

A dull thud echoed, and the resulting shockwave sent leaves swirling in every direction.

With a loud puff, the clone exploded into smoke — unable to withstand the force.

Some of the chakra used to create the clone returned to Naruto's body. Some dissipated.

Naruto closed his eyes and took a moment to feel the memories that returned.

He opened them again…

And glanced at his right elbow — the same spot the clone had used to block.

There was no injury.

But he could still feel pain.

Not physical pain — memory pain.

This was the only flaw of the Shadow Clone Technique.

When a clone is destroyed or suffers extreme fatigue, all its mental stress and pain are sent back to the original body.

That's why Naruto felt pain even though his body was unharmed.

He frowned.

In battle, that kind of pain — even just a twitch — could be fatal.

Just one moment of distraction could be all an enemy needs.

So, if Naruto wanted to truly master the Shadow Clone Technique, he'd have to train to completely ignore the mental feedback.

Even if a clone self-destructed, his main body had to stay calm and unshaken.

And what he was about to learn next?

Only amplified this problem.

---

The Multi Shadow Clone Technique is an advanced, or rather, super-enhanced version of Shadow Clone Jutsu.

As long as you have enough chakra, in theory — you can make endless clones.

You could literally make 100,000 clones, just like Monkey King did with a single puff of air.

But.

This jutsu carries the same flaws as the original Shadow Clone — only magnified:

1. Chakra Cost

The Multi Shadow Clone Technique burns dozens to hundreds of times more chakra than the original.

Use it recklessly, and you'll collapse from exhaustion before the enemy even lays a hand on you.

2. Mental Load

The feedback from destroyed clones returns in full.

Now imagine creating hundreds of clones… and they're all wiped out by a giant AoE jutsu?

That backlash could cripple your brain.

For these reasons, the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, classified the jutsu as an A-rank forbidden technique.

One wrong move and you're done.

---

Minato, being the overprotective dad he is, initially strongly opposed Naruto learning it.

He was afraid Naruto would hurt himself.

But.

Minato's protests… were ignored.

Naruto insisted, and Minato finally caved — passing down this A-rank forbidden jutsu.

---

Despite all its risks, the Multi Shadow Clone Technique has one god-tier advantage:

Training Speed.

Clones can't directly strengthen your body, but they transfer experience and memory back to you.

In other words:

Clones = AFK grinding.

If you make 100 clones to train the same jutsu?

You gain experience at 100x the speed.

It's literally a cheat code.

No — it's blatant cheating.

Absolutely shameless.

---

As for chakra costs?

Naruto doesn't care.

Not even a little.

He doesn't even know how much chakra he has.

If a Jonin's chakra level is like a cup of water, then even excluding the Nine-Tails, Naruto's chakra is like a swimming pool.

Other ninja:

> "Hmm, a C-rank jutsu needs 10 units of chakra. Better save up."

Naruto:

> "Left hand does a Dai Bakusui no Jutsu

Right hand fires a Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!"

Whether it hits or not?

Who cares?

He's just having fun.

---

And with the Nine-Tails inside him, Naruto's recovery is monstrous.

As long as it's not a fatal injury, one good night's sleep is enough for him to bounce back like nothing happened.

While other ninja lie in hospital beds with IVs and nurses, Naruto's already doing a victory dance on their graves.

His physical durability + healing factor easily handles the clone jutsu's drawbacks.

If Shadow Clone is the perfect technique for taijutsu users…

Then Multi Shadow Clone is a technique built for Naruto alone.

---

Multiple Narutos that can beat the Nine-Tails hand-to-hand?

Upgrade that to hundreds of Narutos?

Even Kurama would cry:

> "Mercy. I'm done."

---

Naruto brought his index and middle fingers together on both hands, then formed the cross-sign for "Ram".

He focused.

Took a deep breath.

And shouted:

> "MULTI SHADOW CLONE JUTSU!!"

BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!

A thunderstorm of chakra explosions lit up the training ground — and in the blink of an eye…

Over a hundred Narutos stood shoulder-to-shoulder.

---

Naruto (the real one) cleared his throat.

Then bowed to his clones.

> "Alright, everyone…

I know this won't be easy."

> "But we all share the same goal — the same dream."

> "I'm counting on all of you."

Naruto might be the first — and only — ninja to ever thank his clones out loud.

But his clones understood.

Same thoughts.

Same mind.

> "No worries — leave it to us."

They all responded with cheerful grins.

Naruto nodded.

> "Good. That's the spirit."

> "Your job is to help us get stronger.

I'll keep living and training — and you handle the rest."

> "What doesn't kill us…"

> "Will only make us STRONGER!!"

> "URAAA—!!"

> "URAAAA—!!!" ×N

Naruto clapped his hands.

> "Then… disperse!"

> "SAA!!!"

With a unified shout, the clones dashed off — vanishing one by one into the forest like streaks of light.

Soon, the training field was silent again.

Only Naruto remained.

---

No one else knew what the clones were going to do.

No one knew where they would disappear.

Or what they would leave behind.

Naruto rolled his neck — bones cracking like firecrackers — then silently hoisted the custom Turtle Hermit Shell strapped to his back.

Time to go back to his daily grind:

Boring, grueling, relentless basic training.

> "Let's keep training…"
