Chapter 12 - Leaving the Dungeon with Natasha

I feel well-rested enough to go. Even if it takes a long time to control the magic, I'm sure I can get to the other side while carrying the woman.

"…It's weird how much you smoke while resting. It's weirder that you eat the cigarettes as well. Are you sure you have rested enough? I don't want to fall to the hole," the woman says.

"Have you lost more weight? If not, then just believe that I can do it. Try to put some effort yourself instead of relying on others. By the way, what's your name?" I ask the woman.

"Natasha. You?"

"Miroslav. Get ready. We're moving soon," I say.

It looks weird. I'm facing the wall and Natasha is between me and the wall. She sighs before she hugs me.

"We're going to meet my father in the future for your reward, so please don't tell him or even anyone about this."

It's not like I want to tell anyone though. All that matter is I'm getting out of here alive with as many benefit as possible. If I think she's too heavy on the way, I will drop her. I'm not going to tell her about this obviously.

"No smoking while you're on the wall!"

She smacks the cigarette on my mouth and it falls to the hole. As long as I get the reward I will endure this treatment.

I put my hands on the wall. And after she hugs me tighter and making sure she won't let go of her grip, I put my feet on the wall.

"Just my hands and feet is too difficult for the two of us. I'm going to put my knees on the wall so you need to hug tighter," I say.

"You must be enjoying this, huh?" Natasha says as she hugs me tighter.

"I told you before that you're not 'I'm-going-to-sacrifice-my-life-for-you' pretty. If you like to joke around when my life is on the line because of you, I'll leave you behind," I say.

"Sorry."

Though I can't say that I don't enjoy it. But I'm not so weak to react to her just like this.

I look to the right and slowly move to the right one arm-reach at a time. It's a slow travel. Slower than when I was alone. But it's working. I'm confident that I can reach the other side with my mana capacity. I don't know about my physical strength though.

"You're so heavy!" I say.

"Don't make a comment about a girl's weight!"

"I can do that when my life is on the line!"

One hour later, I can see the platform on the other side. It took me fifteen more minutes to get there. I'm so happy that my feet are touching the ground.

She let go of me right away and press the button. Good thing that the bridge on that side still appears.

"I'm going to take another break here. I'm tired," I say.

"You need to exercise more," Natasha says.

"Try carrying me to the other side and then I'll say the same thing to you. How would you feel?" I ask.

"…Sorry."

"Good. You can leave first. I'll catch up to you later."

"…I don't remember the right path to take."

And so she rests nearby until I'm ready to go waiting until I recover.

"Alright, let's go. We're going to your home right away. Your home is in the city where the Cabal main store is, right?" I ask Natasha.

I remember the city. It's Emerald city. That's where the main store is located.

"Yes, it's in Emerald city. My house is in right behind the store," she says.

I remember that there are places where the protagonist couldn't go through. The building behind that store is one of them.

If Natasha's father, Gunnar, was devastated in the game due to her death, he should be grateful that I return his daughter. I don't know anything about his personality. Only that his name was mentioned a few times because he's one of the richest person in the game.

There were many corruptions in the game with how much the prices of the items sold in the stores were many times higher than the market price and many items were exclusive only at certain stores related to Cabal. I guess in the game Gunnar didn't care about anything because of Natasha's death. So the Gunnar I will meet will be different than the Gunnar in the game.

Emerald city is located in this country next to Vassel. This country is called Stormwind Kingdom. I didn't know why it's called Stormwind when there's rarely a storm here until I learned the royal family has Stormwind as their last name. So it's because of their ancestor.

"Get on my back. We'll get there as soon as possible," I say.

"…After feeling my chest on your front now you want to feel it on your back?" she asks.

"I don't do it for your chest. I want to get the rare item as soon as possible. If you don't want to be on my back then I'll carry you in my arms or simply drag you on the ground. Pick one. You only have a choice of being carried by me or dragged by me since I want to get there as soon as possible. It will be easier if you're on my back since you can hug my neck easier compared if you're in my arms. But I suggest to drag you on the ground," I insist for her to pick a choice between the choices.

"Fine. I'll get on your back."

She climbs on my back and hugs my neck.

"If you think doing this makes the travel fast, then if you're just slightly slow I will not keep my proOOOOOMMMMIIIIIIISSSSEEE!!!!!"

I use slip magic while she's talking and we're moving very fast. The bridge is narrow but I can easily maneuver with my speed. It's also thanks to learning how to balance myself on slippery ground.

I'm moving as if I'm skiing. But without the ski equipment. Just me and my normal boots.

"IIIITTTSSS SSSOOOOO FFFAAAAASSSSTTT!!!!!"

"Don't talk or you'll bite your tongue. We'll get to Emerald city in a couple of hours," I say.

According to my calculation, it took days to get there from the Canyon. Maybe even weeks. But that's just through a normal way of transportation.

I'm not even flying. I'm skating at a very high speed of about 200 Km/h or maybe more. But I might have grown faster already. There's nothing that can tell me how fast I am.

I'm still going to get faster and faster. I even trained my vision so I can keep up with my speed.

Actually, I'm only as fast as I can react. I can actually go faster but it's difficult to react on anything if I do. But this is enough to get there in a matter of hours.

"How are you so fast!? Do you have two talents!? One that allows you to stick yourself to the wall and another one related to speed?" Natasha asks me on my back. Her grip on my nick is tighter but it doesn't bother with my breathing so I allow it.

"I only have one talent," I say.

"Don't lie to me!"

"Stop shouting to my ear!"

It's a loud journey to Emerald city. Not because of my speed making the wind loud to my ears. But because the woman on my back keeps shouting.

At first she was screaming in fears due to the speed. But after she slowly gets used to it, she starts to scream in excitement.

"Go faster! Faster! Whoooooohoooooo!!!"

"Stop screaming to my ear!"

I need something. A vehicle or anything that allows me to travel with companions so I don't have to hear someone screaming to my ear anymore. Maybe a carpet is good. A moving carpet. I wish it's a flying carpet.

Oh, I can just buy a door and use it as a board. Or just a piece of board, really. I'll get something large enough for two people or more to ride on as I use slip magic to travel and store it inside my Spatial Pouch.

"By the way, is the thing you got from the dungeon a Spatial Pouch?" Natasha asks.

"Is that what it's called? And you know about it?"

"I'm the daughter of a rich merchant after all. It's a rare item not many people have it. It can go as expensive as a palace. But I have seen a few people carrying them. They are in different shape and size. Maybe some other people will notice so it's best if you keep it hidden under your shirt or something," Natasha suggests.

"I'll keep that in mind."

I guess it's a rare item but people still know about it. I have to be careful to not show it to anyone. Maybe I'll wear a long coat or something.

"Look! We can see the city!" Natasha points at the city far ahead.

"I don't want too many people to know what I can do to travel long distance so we will get to the forest and we'll walk from there. Do you think your father has hired some people to look for you?" I ask.

"I have been missing for a while already so I'm sure he has."

"Then if we meet anyone who stops up, make sure you tell them that I help you return home. And also tell them that I'm doing it for a reward from you and not from your father. Make sure that it's some rare item that your father allows you to give to me. I don't want to gain too much attention," I say.

If she insists asking her father about it, I might end up in the losing end. So it's better if the item is from her belonging. She should have some rare items for herself that she can give me. It's also because I don't know her father's personality.

"You're hiding so much. Are you afraid of something?"

"Standing out. I can't afford to stand out at the moment when I'm so weak."

Standing out will only make people target me. While the demons still haven't appeared yet, I don't want to fight more humans if possible.

"You're weak?"

"Everyone has their own standard. Oh, you can tell your father how we return here so fast as long as you remind him to keep it a secret. I'm sure he's worried about you and will ask many things," I say.

We finally reach a forest near the city and I let her go. We're going to walk from here.
