Chapter 27 - Chapter 27 - Out-of-Body Experience and Mirror Dimension

Roxxon Petroleum Corporation is a perfect example of the power of capitalism.

What about superheroes?

What about official organizations like the United Nations?

They can only stand there and watch!

Fenris found this truly inspiring!

"I found it!" Using his super hearing, Fenris quickly pinpointed the location of Kamar-Taj once he reached Kathmandu.

"Boom!"

The sound of a sonic boom echoed as a cloud of mist from the rapid acceleration dispersed in just a few seconds.

Inside the ancient and distinctive training grounds, dozens of mages, dressed in traditional robes, were practicing magic under the guidance of Master Mordo. The scene was orderly and synchronized.

"Zzzt zzzt zzzt!" A golden light appeared in the eyes of the disciples as Ancient One, in her golden robes, stepped out of a portal.

"Master," Mordo greeted her.

Ancient One looked up at the sky and said, "A guest is coming."

Mordo looked up and heard the rumbling sound approaching rapidly. A figure was racing toward them, growing faster by the second.

Seeing that the figure was about to arrive without any sign of slowing down, Mordo furrowed his brow and glanced at Ancient One, who gave no instructions. He stepped forward and released a spell.

A massive circular magical shield immediately expanded, enveloping nearly half of the training grounds.

The Seraphim Shield, said to be the most powerful defensive spell!

It was the same spell Doctor Strange used when he and Spider-Man crash-landed on Titan in Avengers: Infinity War.

Seeing the sudden appearance of the massive magical shield, Fenris's lips curled into a smirk. He dived toward it, delivering a punch directly to the center of the shield.

"Crack, crack, crack! Boom!"

The so-called most powerful Seraphim Shield shattered into pieces under Fenris's single punch.

The immense shockwave sent Mordo stumbling back several steps, while the nearby disciples were knocked off balance, shouting in panic.

"Ding!"

Battle detected. Reward acquired: Astral Projection (Mordo)

With the sunlight behind him, Fenris descended slowly. If there had been a red cape fluttering in the wind, he would have looked just like One Punch Man!

A superhero who shattered the strongest defensive spell with a single punch.

No complaints!

"Hello, Lord of the Void," Ancient One greeted with a faint smile, nodding respectfully.

Fenris raised an eyebrow slightly. "As expected of the Sorcerer Supreme. I'm curious to know what else you know, like, whether I'll be satisfied when I leave!"

Ancient One smiled and replied, "I hope to satisfy you. Shall we move to another place?"

"Sure."

Fenris agreed, and Ancient One waved her arm. In an instant, a mirror-like dimension with countless diamond-shaped mirrors surrounded them both.

The Mirror Dimension!

Inside the mirrored space, the sound of the reward prompt echoed once more in Fenris's mind.

Ding!

Battle detected. Reward acquired: Mirror Dimension (Ancient One)

"This is far more useful than Astral Projection."

Fenris spun his hands, and the ground beneath them. No, more precisely, the surrounding structures began to rapidly arch upward.

In the blink of an eye, the ground and buildings on both sides had sealed together, creating a massive semi-enclosed space, blocking out the sky.

Ancient One stood with her hands behind her back, looking surprised. This made Fenris curious about what she knew.

She knew he was the Lord of the Void, and that he came here to fight.

But did she know that he came for a way to control the Time Stone?

Did she know that he could easily acquire others' abilities?

When it comes to combat, Fenris wasn't afraid.

Even though Ancient One had an endless array of powerful magic, with his dimension-shifting and Superman-like abilities, he was virtually unbeatable.

Moreover, he could gain others' abilities from battle.

The more he fought, the stronger he became.

What really bothered him, what irritated him, was Ancient One's insight into the future. The feeling of not knowing exactly what she knew was quite unpleasant!

Perhaps it was a clash of equals.

"Is the Mirror Dimension something you learned from the Void?" Ancient One asked, curious.

Fenris smiled faintly, "It's from you!"

"Me?" Ancient One furrowed her brows and shook her head slightly.

"Impossible. All I've done are the most correct decisions from countless possible futures. I–I couldn't have come from the Void."

Upon hearing this, Fenris relaxed and smiled.

Ancient One knew about the Multiverse because of her expertise with the Time Stone and time magic.

So, it wasn't a surprise that she knew about the Void and that she would eventually become the Lord of the Void.

What surprised him was that the Sorcerer Supreme, Ancient One, didn't seem to know about the Time Variance Authority and more importantly, her statement about making the "most correct decisions in countless futures" was likely referring to the "script" laid out by the Sacred Timeline.

Just like Doctor Strange's vision of the future, where he saw only one way to defeat Thanos.

But was that really the only way?

Perhaps there were many ways to defeat Thanos, but none of them were the "result" dictated by the Sacred Timeline.

So those futures, those possibilities, were probably all doomed to fail because they were "trimmed" by the Time Variance Authority!
