"The entire sky has fallen into struggle, and even the powerful Sky Knight Guild is no longer in existence. Simply fleeing might not be enough. Rather than dying in panic, it's better to spend the last moments with family."
Though the girl was naive, the couple seemed to have made some firm decision.
"Child, you're almost the same age as our daughter, yet you must have experienced many battles. What do you fight for?"
"To overthrow the Empire."
"I know that. I'm asking, is it for friends? For family? Or to fulfill some kind of personal oath?"
The swordswoman couldn't answer those questions; she had never thought about such things.
For some reason, she wanted to say something, but words just wouldn't come out.
