"Reina?"
David groggily opened his eyes, and was greeted with a head of snow-white hair.
"Duke David, you're awake. Are you feeling any discomfort?"
Reina shyly lifted her head, her concerned face tinged with bashfulness, softly inquiring.
"Oh, it's fine, just a little bit of pain."
David was taken aback for a moment, it was his first time seeing Reina so gentle, and he didn't quite know how to react.
Had he successfully won over Reina?
"I'll go call everyone over." Reina quickly stood up.
Not long after, Liya and Amy, with reddened eyes, came in, all gathering around him with concerned expressions.
"Don't worry, I deliberately took that sword strike, it didn't hit any critical points." David reassured them, "I'm just tired and fell asleep."
After hearing this, they all breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing David impaled by a sword had really frightened them.
