Amidst the vast expanse of empty farmland, only the sound of galloping hooves and his breathing remained.
Slightly turning his body, Pierre glanced back into the darkness behind him.
The thunderous sound from before had long disappeared.
He knew that the armored cavalry had not pursued him.

Pierre's nerves remained tense.

He saw a black silhouette of a building in the distance.
The light of oil lamps shone through the windows of the building, illuminating the exterior.
In the open space outside the building, there were clearly a dozen guard figures sitting around a bonfire.
There, that was where the Benitez Manor was located!
Pierre's tense mood slightly relaxed.
He urged his horse to gallop faster toward the direction of Benitez Manor.
The horse galloped across the gravel and mud road, entering the open square in front of the manor.
Before Pierre could leap off the horse, several guards surrounded him.
