Callum descended the stone steps and entered the reception hall on the first floor of the manor residence.
Pierre, who had been waiting quietly, immediately stepped forward to greet him.
With an anxious expression, Pierre inquired of Callum.
"Guard Captain, what did the master say?"
Callum's brow furrowed instantly, and he retorted, "Did the master say anything that requires me to report to you?"
Pierre was taken aback, and hurriedly explained.
"Guard Captain, you misunderstand, the conversation between the master and you naturally doesn't need to be reported to a humble servant like me."
"Pierre just wanted to ask if you, sir, were ordered by the master to summon the guards to search for Captain Sai De and his group..."
"They haven't returned yet..."
Callum cast a glance at Pierre.
"Go gather a cavalry guard to accompany me outside."
Pierre's eyes lit up with surprise and joy, "Sir, are we going to rescue Captain Sai De and the others?"
