The voice responded, and Du An immediately pulled on the reins, turning the direction of the horse beneath him.
Du An squeezed the horse's stomach tightly with his legs, and with a hurried command, the horse neighed and galloped towards the distant darkness.
The remaining three soldiers watched as Du An rode away.
They withdrew their gaze and asked Dorian, "Captain Dorian, what should we do now?"
Dorian pondered for a few seconds and said, "Draw your weapons and wait here."
"If you see any unfamiliar persons coming and going, capture them immediately."
"If there are many spies infiltrating the town, retreat immediately and wait for Lord Earl's reinforcements before making any plans."
The three soldiers immediately responded, "Yes, Captain Dorian!"
Dismounting from his horse, Dorian walked to the trampled barley field.
He crouched down, his eyes scanning the fallen barley stalks.
