Because those few rogue loose cultivators, though surprised at the girl's capacity for alcohol, kept challenging her, bowl after bowl, seemingly unaware that anything was amiss.
The man leading the group drank more fiercely than the rest, with bloodshot eyes, determined to drink the girl under the table, but ended up vomiting himself into unconsciousness, his hands and feet still twitching.
When the shopkeeper approached, the girl cautiously pointed at the man on the floor, "He just said he wanted to treat me to a drink, and I accidentally drank too much."
"Why don't we split the bill? Can't let a good person suffer a loss."
The shopkeeper shook his head, "Since they said they'd treat you, if they can't pay, they must work off the debt here. You can leave, young lady."
