"Is this you?"
"It's me!"
"This damn well isn't you!"
"I used to be flamboyant, but now I'm... mature and steady..."
...
That's exactly how I felt reading 'Bian Liang's' new book from the True North Alt Account. The fantasy opening nearly made me skim over it at first glance, but upon looking back, the writing was indeed steady and the plot was crafted with great care and excitement, showcasing the level of a seasoned writer. It's worth recommending. Moreover, the ratio of subscriptions to reads is actually quite high, so I believe given a few recommendation opportunities, it can still rise to prominence.
However, the only thing is that I couldn't tell this book was written by him. Honestly, I didn't really want to recommend this book. I still prefer his first work of Spiritual Qi, "The Beginning with a Great Angel." Many readers ask, "Was that you on the alt writing it, Cigarette Tray?" I really want to shamelessly blurt out, "Yes, I am Tang Bohu!"
When I first saw this alt's new book the other day, my initial reaction was, "Anyway, it's an lv1 alt, just a trial account!" I'm not kidding; nowadays, seeing an lv1 alt on the leaderboard makes me weak in the knees. Which big shot is posing as a newbie again? The horror of lv1 is that if two trial promotion rounds don't pass, they cut their losses and start anew, meaning a big shot has at least 12 chances to trial and error in a year! In this era where traffic is king, there's always a chance to soar with the flow!
I once saw an amateur journalist report that Yuewen had millions of registered authors, which made me laugh! Are those millions of authors? No, those are all discarded trial accounts!
But what if a famous author's main account flops? They have to grit their teeth and finish with a million words, leaving only a reputation for a terrible ending. Such is the situation for True North's main account. Actually, I'm in a similar situation. How many books have I botched now? Other big shots' book reviews say, "666," while ours say, "No more terrible endings," "Can't stall any longer"...
At least I only live in an 18th-tier small town, and it was before 2015. One book made it, and it was 3 houses, getting married, having kids, settling the elderly, and starting some small businesses. But True North is still young, and he's been delayed for six or seven years... Actually, both of us face the same issue, which is keeping up with the new age of games. Neither of us can play LOL or PUBG, nor do we favor those mobile games with ten consecutive draws, and we couldn't cross the chasm of fantasy and Immortal Cultivation. So what to do?
I've now opened up to the idea, retro it is, just like opening a computer and inexplicably a webpage with "Legend One Hit 999" pops up... If I can stabilize, I'll retire... No more words, how about us brothers-in-arms support each other and start a retirement home together?
