Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Waiter

This young girl isn't very old, and the expression on her face is quite plain.

Crouching there, she quietly watches Chu Qing.

Seeing that Chu Qing was only scared and didn't take the bowl of tea, she withdrew her hand and drank a sip herself.

Chu Qing: "..."

Does this woman have some kind of problem?

Why is she staring at me like this?

Under this somewhat hollow gaze, Chu Qing even began to doubt whether she had seen through his disguise.

But at this moment, there was no time to worry about that, as the leader laughed wildly:

"The second son of the Chu Family under the Angerless Divine Fist, I thought you had some skills, but it seems you're just like this!"

Chu Qing immediately turned his gaze outside the window, seeing Chu Fan standing between running horses, both his arms and legs hooked by the hooked claw chains, unable to move.

"...What kind of trick is this?"

Chu Qing's mouth twitched, thinking he could have dodged or countered, but instead, he took everything head-on.

Meanwhile, the movements of the Iron Horse Seven Bandits changed again.

They were holding the hooked claw chains, turning their horses, and rushing in the opposite direction.

They intended to tear Chu Fan apart on the spot!

Yet Chu Fan smiled faintly:

"Then let me show you what I am capable of!"

As he spoke, he let out a deep shout, stamping his feet, and a booming sound echoed as True Qi surged in all directions.

Neigh!!

The mounts of the Iron Horse Seven Bandits immediately reared and neighed, seemingly greatly startled.

The two bandits holding Chu Fan's legs suddenly felt as if they were pulling a mountain; instead of pulling it down, they themselves were dragged off their horses.

The hooked claw chains on Chu Fan's body clattered, no longer as taut as before.

At that moment, Chu Fan suddenly flipped his palms, grasping the chains on both sides, and gave a fierce tug. With a clattering sound, an irresistible force swept through the chains.

With a thud, the two bandits met mid-air, crashing into each other fiercely, with the faint sound of bones cracking.

Blood spurted from their mouths, faces turning pale, clearly not going to survive.

"Old Fourth, Old Sixth!!"

The leader was furious, spurring his horse onward, swinging his hand axe fiercely toward Chu Fan.

Chu Fan raised his head, his hands bursting with strength, shattering the chains on his arms. With two palms joining together, he intercepted the leader's hand axe bare-handed.

The leader's forehead veins bulged, pounding wildly, as he gathered all his strength in one spot.

He strained to press down the axe, trying to split Chu Fan in two.

The immense power passed through, causing Chu Fan's feet to sink slightly into the ground.

Yet the hand axe couldn't be driven downward.

The leader took a deep breath and shouted angrily:

"I'm deadlocked with him, seize the opportunity to decapitate him!!"

Counting today, the Iron Horse Seven Bandits had already lost three. The leader was deadlocked with Chu Fan, leaving three others.

The two bandits entangling Chu Fan's feet exchanged a glance, tightened their hold on the chains, and applied inner strength to drag him, disregarding their beloved horses.

Meanwhile, the sole free one had reached Chu Fan's backside, ready to chop down with a ring saber toward his neck.

But at this moment, the leader's expression suddenly changed drastically.

Not good!!

The sound of cracking echoed from the hand axe, and cracks spread in an instant. Before he could react, with a clattering crash, his hand axe shattered.

He wasn't trying to block my hand axe... he was trying to destroy my weapon!!

What kind of monstrous strength is this?

How can it be this exaggerated?

Chu Fan suddenly clenched his fist, seemingly vacuuming the air around him, sitting low and steady, then swiftly turning and punching!

Taiyi Divine Fist!!

A booming sound resonated in the air, first meeting and dispersing the attacker's saber momentum, leaving him exposed defensively. With a thud, the fist slammed into his chest and abdomen.

Whoa!

A massive burst of blood erupted from behind the attacker, sending him flying like a battered ragdoll, his body disfigured by the strike.

The leader was stunned by the punch's power, his pupils constricting, and he shouted suddenly:

"Run!!!"

From the moment he made a move until now had only been a few breaths, and he'd lost three men already.

One of his hand axes was destroyed, making it impossible to fight against a monster like Chu Fan.

He clamped his legs around his horse's belly, surging forward towards the tea house.

In a flash, he'd already bolted into the tea house, shouting angrily:

"Get out of the way!!"

He shouted at the young waiter.

The young waiter, trembling, had been watching the spectacle within the tea house.

How could he have anticipated the chaos would come his way?

In haste, he got up to run, but was directly in the charging horse's path.

The Iron Horse Seven Bandits' mounts were prized steeds. With a stomp, the young waiter didn't have even a moment to react before being kicked out of the tea house.

The situation changed too rapidly; although there were experts in the tea house, there was no time to save him.

The leader charged straight through the tea house with a crash, emerging from the other side, then turned his horse around in a different direction. Earlier, he'd hurled one hand axe that landed in the carriage, and he had taken the tea house route to retrieve it. With a reach, the axe fell into his hand.

He sped off, shouting loudly:

"Chu Fan, for today's grace, I will repay it in the future!!"

"Villain, don't flee!!"

Chu Fan's expression darkened, unwilling to let him escape just like that.

Seeing the two who had used the hooked claws to chain his legs also taking advantage of the situation to run and disappear, he resolved decisively, prioritizing the elimination of the chief villain!

"Junior Sister!!"

With a loud call, Chu Qing heard the woman beside him respond:

"Coming!"

The two used their lightweight technique, chasing in the direction the leader fled.

"What an incredible Chu Family second son indeed!"

"A real hero emerging from the young!"

The tea house patrons, seeing the immediate crisis abating, exclaimed in admiration before also leaving. This place was not fit to linger, better to leave quickly.

In no time, the entire tea house was deserted.

No one spared a glance at the dead young waiter or the bodies of those first slain.

Only the shopkeeper, left bewildered, walked over to the young waiter's corpse, patting his face:

"Huzi... Huzi? Get up quickly, they've all left.

"Let me tell you, the ground's cold, it's not good to lie there long.

"Your mother sent word through someone a few days ago, saying she had arranged a marriage for you. I was thinking of having you return home soon to handle it first.

"If you ruin your body like this, it could affect your descendants.

"Huzi... Huzi, wake up, don't scare your uncle!"

He pushed the corpse, as if trying to wake a sleeping junior.

But how could a corpse respond?
