As the gates of the mine opened, workers eager to risk their lives for Tiger Head Heavy Industries rushed in, one after another, passing through the checkpoints.
At the same time, the protesters noticed the open gate and crowded over without hesitation, holding signs and banners, intending to break into the mine and demand an explanation from the company.
Though fewer in number than the regular workers, they were incredibly united, forming a huge wave of people that swept over like a dark cloud.
Seeing this, the regular workers quickly stepped aside, not daring to block this furious crowd.
In just a few minutes, the crowd had broken through several checkpoints.
The guards at the last checkpoint, seeing the situation, frowned and quickly drew their batons, yet were too afraid to incur the crowd's wrath, and so delayed taking action.
