When they reached Han's apartment, they both went inside and sat on the floor, their backs resting against the sofa.
"Do you want some water?" Han asked quietly.
"I'll bring it," Chaewon replied as he started to get up.
"Bring a can of beer too," Han added, his eyes fixed on the TV.
Chaewon turned his head. "Han … you haven't eaten yet, so don't drink."
"It's fine. Just bring it," Han said stubbornly.
Chaewon sighed in disappointment. "Okay… but let me cook for you first." And with that, he walked to the kitchen.
While Han turned on the TV and got lost in a drama, the sound of pots and pans came from the kitchen. A little while later, Chaewon returned with dinner and placed it gently in front of him.
Han was hungry, so he started eating right away while still watching the screen. He didn't even look up, and Chaewon just sat quietly, watching him.
Suddenly Han stood up, still keeping his eyes on the TV.
"What do you need?" Chaewon asked.
"Beer."
"I'll bring it for you."
So Han sat down again, and Chaewon returned with a can. He opened it for him and placed it in front of him. Han kept watching the series while drinking, and Chaewon thought to himself, He really looks peaceful when he's like this. I wish he could always stay like this.
But soon the beer made Han drowsy, and his head dropped onto the table as he fell asleep.
Chaewon smiled softly. He really does look good with short hair.
But suddenly Han woke up and began searching around the room, his movements clumsy.
"What are you looking for?" Chaewon asked.
"My phone," Han mumbled, his voice heavy with alcohol.
Chaewon picked it up from the sofa and handed it to him. Han tried unlocking it but failed several times, so Chaewon held it up to his face for recognition.
Once it opened, Han went straight to his call log and dialed Seungmin's number. The phone rang, but there was no answer.
Han's face darkened with anger. "Stupid phone… can't even make a call," he muttered before throwing it aside. Then he collapsed again, half-asleep.
