Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Let the Bullets Fly for a While

"Is this my last life?" Xue Dili asked the old undead, who had become silent and taciturn.

"Yes, this is your last time. When you return to your world, you should call an ambulance immediately. I think your organs have already started to fail completely..." The old undead began to nag, as if explaining matters after his death.

"So, this last chance, at least we must achieve some results."

The greatsword swung, and the terrifying blade cleared all the undead within the city.

The Holy Knights felt the battle lighten instantly. They turned their heads and saw the fully formed gigantic Skeleton Demon, complex thoughts swirling in their pupils.

Bone wings flapped, and the earth stirred with fierce winds. The Female Pope watched as the massive creature ascended into the sky, the wind blowing her hair back. Perhaps deep in her heart, she too longed for a miracle.

"Holy Light Technique!" The massive Skeleton Demon began to chant.

The surging Holy Light began to spin in its bony palm, growing larger and larger, becoming an exceedingly large ball of light.

This scene shocked all the fighting Holy Professions. An undead using a divine spell with Holy Light—this impact was no less than seeing the Divine King overpower the Witch Demon King.

"Indeed, your power can still use divine spells, and is even stronger than I imagined." Xue Dili looked at the massive rotating ball of light in his hands, excitement gleaming in his eyes.

"What are you going to do?" the old undead asked.

"Erupt the volcano!" Xue Dili made no secret of his plan. To be honest, he had long wanted to try something similar, so he remembered many physical parameters of volcanoes.

And clearly, the active volcano next to the Imperial Capital was even more active than Yellowstone or Mount Fuji on Earth!

The old undead said no more.

The gigantic ball of light rose into the sky in the hands of the Skeleton Demon, hovering there like a sun, its light spilling over the city walls and beyond.

The undead roared, their bodies burning, even self-igniting, while both the Holy Knights and Pope Alola felt their exhausted strength returning.

"This is a Legendary Level divine spell..." A Holy Knight looked in shock at the rising sun. Such a level of divine spell was beyond even the former Pope.

It was still unknown, never appearing in the Church Court history, a self-created divine spell!

The sun forged by Holy Light rose higher and higher, its illuminating range expanding, the range enveloping the undead army growing, more Skeleton Soldiers self-igniting in the bright light, and even the higher-level Death Knights being greatly weakened by this supernova glow.

"What kind of divine spell is this?" Even the old undead was stunned. He himself didn't know any Legendary Level divine spells, and under his very eyes, Xue Dili, the "student" he personally trained, completed a self-created Legendary Level divine spell.

"Holy Light Technique, the most basic divine spell," Xue Dili explained. "It's just that initially, letting the energy of Holy Light compress and spin turned it into a flashbang version of the Holy Light Technique."

"And now, by adding several small orbiting and revolving Holy Light Balls on top of the flashbang version, and further compressing it, simulating a star system model with a star and planets... it became like this!"

Xue Dili finished, and the old undead was dumbfounded.

"Only, I can't release it myself, I still have to rely on your power." A light ball appeared again in Xue Ding's hand.

The old undead's silence was deafening. Perhaps now, this spell could no longer be considered "divine magic." It was more like the "Celestial Magic" that legends said only gods could use.

In the Empire's mythology, gods used the power of the sun and stars. Xue Dili's light ball, though different paths, arrived at the same outcome...

"I really didn't misjudge you, it's just our time is too short. With five years... No, one year, you would have been taught by me to become truly Legendary Level..." The old undead felt astonished but also regretful.

The time was too short, too short for such a jade to be polished, leaving them to cobble together what they could at the last minute.

Most importantly, Xue Dili possesses an imagination far beyond those people of the Empire.

How could he imagine compressing and spinning the Holy Light and then simulating the orbits and rotations of a star system!

Yes, after all, he is a child from such a peaceful and tranquil world, not one who grew up in the Empire's stagnant cesspool of class and thought...

"Let's go..." the old undead said in a hoarse voice.

An old man's musings began again, thinking about Da Gu...

Surging energy once more flowed into his hand's Holy Light Ball.

In the distance, the Witch Demon King seemed to notice this too. Atop the Bone Dragon, the Witch Demon King saw the Skeleton Demon in the sky, with rows of bone walls beginning to appear around him.

Xue Dili also saw the Witch Demon King, with the corner of the Skeleton Demon's mouth revealing a ferocious smile.

Watch closely, something big is coming for you.

This time, the Holy Light Ball was larger and more terrifying, as if thousands of planets orbited around a star in rotation and revolution.

"The crater is about 110 kilometers away, with an altitude of around 2000 meters..." Xue Dili began to calculate.

"Kid... this distance..." The old undead again lacked confidence, looking toward the direction of the volcano, having no faith in his heart.

"My calculation error is small, trust me, old man." Xue Dili threw the Holy Light Ball in his hand mightily, "I scored 149 in math, 98 in physics, and 83 in geography on the college entrance exam!"

The Holy Light Ball vanished into the sky, drawing a perfect curve.

In the distance, on the Bone Dragon, the Witch Demon King was stunned, seemingly confused about why this move didn't target him.

All the Holy Knights were stunned, and even Pope Alola didn't know why Xue Dili threw the Holy Light Ball so off target.

The distant Witch Demon King had already raised defenses; even if it couldn't kill it in one blow, such a level of Holy Light would be enough to injure the Witch Demon King.

The ground began to tremble slightly, and both the living and the undead revealed confusion.

"Huh." In the distance, the Witch Demon King even gave a disdainful snort.

"Grandpa, what exactly are you doing! Grandpa!" The Female Pope shouted at Xue Dili.

"Don't worry, let the bullet fly for a while." Xue Dili, unfazed by being addressed with hyperbole, responded.

The undead army struggled on in the solar-like glow, perhaps for the Witch Demon King, even Death Knights were expendable, not worth caring about their deaths or injuries.

Suddenly, the ground began to quake, increasingly violently, so much so that the undead collapsed backward, unable to rise.

"Mission accomplished!" Xue Dili looked toward the direction of the Holy Mountain.

Everyone glanced in that direction, their gazes stunned.

Thick black smoke gushed from the volcano's mouth, the dense volcanic ash, like a tangible entity, began to rise, filling the sky, melting the snow atop the Holy Mountain, and even seemed to be rolling downward.
