Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

"Buy a car? Now that's a mission I can get behind."

Chen Fan's eyes lit up.

He had just been thinking about getting a car, and now the system gave him a task to do exactly that. Perfect timing.

And if buying a car came with a top-tier villa in Jiangzhou as a bonus… what a steal.

Without hesitation, Chen Fan hailed a cab and headed straight for the Jiangzhou Lamborghini 4S dealership.

As soon as he walked in, several beautiful saleswomen came over to greet him.

"Good afternoon, sir. How can we help you today?"

"I want a car that's available immediately — only in-stock models," Chen Fan said decisively. After all, the system only gave him a three-hour time limit. He had to make the purchase quickly.

"In-stock?"The saleswoman seemed a little surprised but explained politely:

"We do have a few in-stock units, sir, but there will be a markup if you want to buy immediately."

"Money's not a problem."

Chen Fan answered casually.

Right now, what he lacked was time — not money.

"In that case, please come with me," she said with a radiant smile, leading Chen Fan to the display area.

"Sir, this is the most premium model we have available — the Lamborghini Aventador, also known as the 'Big Bull'," the saleswoman introduced respectfully, gesturing to the visually striking supercar.

"It's Lamborghini's flagship supercar, equipped with a new 6.5L V12 engine, producing 700 horsepower, and built with a full carbon-fiber monocoque chassis…"

"No need for the details. I'll take it," Chen Fan said, cutting her off.

A true display of extravagant indifference.

Chen Fan was already familiar with the Aventador — it had always been one of his dream cars.

Back when he was still in the Chen family, his older cousin from his uncle's side had been gifted a Lamborghini Huracán for getting into one of the top three universities in the country.

It was the most expensive car any of the younger generation in the Chen family had received — and at the time, Chen Fan and the others had been green with envy.

And that second cousin, Chen Haoyu — who just mocked Chen Fan earlier — only had a Porsche 718 worth barely 900,000 yuan.

But compared to the Aventador, the Huracán was just a little brother.

"Sir, the fully-equipped Aventador you see here is priced at 11.79 million yuan, with an additional 800,000 yuan markup. The total comes to 12.59 million," the saleswoman explained.

"But since this is your first visit, I'll waive the extra charges and give it to you for just 12 million flat."

"No problem," Chen Fan replied.

The deal was done.

They signed the contract, and Chen Fan paid 12 million yuan on the spot to purchase the top-tier Lamborghini Aventador.

Just as the transaction was completed, the system notification chimed in:

[Ding!][Mission Complete: Buy your own luxury car][Reward: Jiangzhou's top-tier villa – Yujing Mountain Villa, Unit No. 8 (Estimated value: 65–80 million yuan)]

Seeing that the reward was the Yujing Mountain Villa, Chen Fan was both surprised and thrilled.

Yujing Mountain Villa was known as Jiangzhou's No. 1 luxury villa community — the most exclusive and extravagant in the entire city, bar none.

Its residents were all top-level elites, either powerful or immensely wealthy. And Unit No. 8 was the largest and most luxuriously decorated in the entire estate.

It was practically a palace.

Rumor had it that many tycoons had tried to acquire this exact villa, but the developer had gifted it to a mysterious VIP. In the end, all those bigshots walked away empty-handed.

And now, the system had just handed it to him as a reward.

One mission completed — and he now owned the finest mansion in Jiangzhou.

What a huge win.

In just a few hours, Chen Fan had gone from rags to riches. A luxury car. A palace-like home. And nearly one billion yuan left in the bank.

Cutting ties with the Chen family was the best decision he had ever made.

Under the envious gazes of everyone at the Lamborghini dealership, Chen Fan drove off in his new Aventador, headed straight for Yujing Mountain Villa.

About half an hour later, he arrived.

The estate staff were already waiting in front of Villa No. 8, holding the documents.

"Excuse me, are you Mr. Chen Fan?" one of them asked politely.

"Yes, that's me," Chen Fan nodded.

The staff handed him the contract to sign. Chen Fan reviewed it briefly and, confirming everything was in order, signed without hesitation.

From this moment on, Jiangzhou's No. 1 villa — Yujing Mountain Villa, Unit 8 — officially belonged to him.

After finishing the paperwork, the staff gave Chen Fan a brief tour and introduction.

"This villa covers over 1,590 square meters. The front door is a custom-imported Dierre armored door from abroad — bulletproof and explosion-resistant. Inside, there are 11 bedrooms, 3 living rooms, a private gym, a study, a wine cellar, a home theater…"

Everything you could possibly imagine in a luxury mansion — this villa had it.Just the interior decoration alone reportedly cost over 30 million yuan.

Compared to this place, the Chen family's so-called mansion was little more than a shack.

Even Chen Fan, walking through the residence, was momentarily stunned.

This wasn't a villa — it was a palace.

After the staff left, Chen Fan explored the mansion alone.

That evening, he ordered dinner from the estate's private chef service.

The annual property fee here was over a million yuan, and the chefs were all poached from five-star hotels — assigned to serve residents of the estate as personal in-home chefs.

You could order food from home and have it delivered right to your door.

After a relaxing night in his new mansion, Chen Fan got up the next morning, had breakfast, and drove to school.

But just as he passed by Villa No. 9, he unexpectedly caught sight of a stunning figure stepping out of the neighboring villa.

Chen Fan froze.

For some reason, that beautiful silhouette looked incredibly familiar — like someone he had seen before.

Unfortunately, the figure disappeared too quickly, and he couldn't get a clear look.

Later that morning, after class, Chen Fan went to meet his girlfriend — Song Manyu, a fellow sophomore.

Just as he was about to tell her about cutting ties with the Chen family, Song Manyu suddenly looked at him coldly and said:

"Chen Fan, let's break up."
