Chapter 43 - Paradise

When Yueyu once again set foot in Koolur, she was shocked to find that this planet, once drenched in the stench of blood, had completely transformed!

Now, the city's main structures were no longer towering skyscrapers, but colossal living organisms.

Some resembled ancient trees with sprawling roots, their branches heavy with sparkling crystalline fruits.

Upon closer inspection, those fruits were actually vast, semi-transparent living pods—lush with greenery inside and shadows of people moving within, like the homes of elves in the mythological tales of Lucian's original world.

Others took the form of enormous glowing coral reefs, layered upon each other, their surfaces etched with smooth, jade-like patterns that shimmered with a gentle blue-green light, casting the city's basic illumination.

Inside those corals lay commercial centers and public spaces, where crowds moved beneath translucent bio-membranes. Yet strangely, there was no noise or clamor at all, as if a natural field of silence cloaked everything.

Further off, a grand structure shaped like a beating heart dominated the city's center—it was none other than Koolur's headquarters, the 'Core of Life.'

Each slow, thunderous beat seemed to breathe life into the entire city, sending surges of vitality silently to every corner.

"What... is this..."

Yueyu muttered with a dazed expression.

Was this really the same fallen planet once ruled by the borisin?

"Back then, my brother single-handedly wiped out all the borisins on this planet, and not a single foxian was harmed."

Feixiao explained and winked at Yueyu, hinting at a certain 'Aeon.'

"He freed all the foxian slaves and let us live freely."

"By the way, all this biotech was seized from the Chiseltooth Pack."

"Chiseltooth Pack?" Yueyu looked surprised. "Isn't the Chiseltooth Pack's tech the borisin's most prized possession? Attacking the Chiseltooth Pack would have stirred up all the borisin packs. How did you manage it?"

It should be noted that the Chiseltooth Pack was the borisin pack most advanced in genetic witchcraft, such as mechabeasts and various biological weapons, which they primarily manufactured through their genetic warlocks.

Even in times of war, no pack dared to attack the Chiseltooth Pack because they revered its warlocks. Any attempt to strike at them would bring down the collective wrath of every pack upon the aggressor.

In the end, after Lucian wiped them out, the foxians under him took over.

As Yueyu walked into the city, everything she saw left her speechless again and again.

Firstly, no slaves were being whipped or herded along the streets.

Secondly, the foxians wore comfortable bio-fiber clothing that could regulate temperature on its own.

Some rested at 'open-air cafes' formed naturally by gigantic glowing mushrooms, holding cups that seemed to be made from biodegradable fruit shells, filled with drinks that shimmered with natural colors and gave off a sweet, fruity scent.

More importantly, they laughed and chatted, their faces relaxed and content, with none of the anxiety, hostility, or racism so common in the Xianzhou Yaoqing.

Yueyu couldn't help but admit that this place was nothing short of a paradise for foxians!

"Is this... really Koolur?"

Yueyu murmured, absent-mindedly brushing her fingers across a nearby ornamental plant whose leaves glimmered with a soft light. In the next moment, the leaf curled ever so slightly, as if shyly responding to her touch.

She suddenly felt like she could live out her days here in peace.

Honestly, with so much joy and calm here, who would even want to leave?

"White Fox King! Congratulations on your great victory!"

"White Fox King, don't forget to rest!"

Along the way, as people noticed Feixiao, they immediately waved and greeted her one after another.

Feixiao was already feeling tired just from responding.

"White Fox King?"

Yueyu glanced at Feixiao's fur and couldn't help but smile a little when she saw that Feixiao really was all white.

"Don't laugh. Beside me, there's also the Black Fox King, my friend Neergul." Feixiao shrugged while rolling her eyes. "Most of the biotech here was made with her help, and the two of us—one in civil affairs, one in military—manage this planet together for my brother."

"So... where's your brother?" Yueyu asked while glancing around.

"Living the good life~" Feixiao smiled and shrugged again. "Around this time, he's probably in the park."

Soon, the two of them arrived at a large park and saw a group of foxians, young and old, doing group exercises to music.

Among them, the young man leading was not a foxian but looked more like a Xianzhou native from the Xianzhou Alliance. He had black hair, golden eyes, and even dressed in a style very much like the Xianzhou natives.

"Well, that's the person you're looking for."

Feixiao pointed with her chin, her gaze warm as it fell on the young man.

If not Lucian, then who else could it be?

"Surprised? Why isn't the ruler sitting up in some cloud, looking down on everyone, but instead living among us foxians?"

Feixiao rested her right elbow on Yueyu's shoulder, her bright eyes fixed on Lucian as she unconsciously grinned.

"You know, when we were suffering, those Aeons never showed up, but my brother did. He came to me and helped me kill all the borisins on this planet without hesitation, just because I asked him to."

"For that reason alone, the one we believe in isn't the Abundance or its Aeon, Yaoshi. It's my brother, Lucian."

Yueyu was left speechless by Feixiao's words.

Judging from what she had seen with her own eyes, this place truly was no different from a paradise.

It was a paradise built by the hands of an Emanator of Abundance.

Just as the Xianzhou Alliance had liberated other races from the shackles of the Abominations of Abundance, this Emanator of Abundance had done the same.

What more needed to be said?

Lucian was a truly good person.

At this moment, Yueyu's views about the Emanators of Abundance began to change.

In the next moment, she quickly felt the need to inform the Xianzhou Alliance and make them reconsider their stance toward Koolur. If the Alliance later made a mistake, wronged a good person, and destroyed this paradise, her conscience would never let her rest.

"By the way, let me warn you—don't think being pretty is enough to catch my brother's eye. I won't allow it."

Feixiao suddenly shot out this cold warning, completely throwing Yueyu off guard.

Yueyu studied the young man leading the foxians in their exercises for a moment before admitting in her heart that he was perhaps the most handsome and striking man she had ever seen, with an extraordinary air about him.

Just then, Lucian noticed Feixiao and Yueyu together, watching him.

'Yueyu, the Arbiter-General of the Yaoqing, huh?'

Lucian thought amusedly as he saw the two women standing side by side.

'I knew those two were destined to meet as master and disciple, but this time... sorry, Yueyu, I got Feixiao ahead of you.'
